Mass Deportation: this is going to be expensive

Here in America anyone can walk across the border and have immediate access to jobs, health care, meals, housing and schools all at the expense of the American taxpayer. They can even break our laws without consequence like the criminal who killed the nursing student in GA. He was arrested three times and released before he killed. Americans paid for his travel, housing and meals while he was here. The current situation is simply unsustainable.

It is also impossible for any European to legally immigrate into the United States (likely similar for legal immigration from other continents), save for a few situations, either way it will take years. It’s so bad, that more desperate Europeans, such as recently due to the war, have flown to Mexico, and walked across instead. Once you are in, you are in, and fully supported, being undocumented is totally ok here, and always has been, for so many decades, no matter who was in power!

Trump is going to deport people born in the US if their parents weren't born here.

I’m doubting he will deport anyone who is already here (hopefully a few criminals though), but the rest of what he says he will do is not going to happen. He’s already backtracking and he’s not even in office yet.

In the current situation we’re deporting more people than we have in a decade - more than Trump ever did.

Biden let in much more than that with the CPB One app alone.

Uline, "a company owned by two of Donald Trump’s top mega-donors, has routinely brought dozens of its workers from Mexico to staff its warehouses in Wisconsin and other locations even though they do not appear to have permission to work in the US, according to a Guardian investigation."

GOP hypocrisy at its peak.

He didn't do it his first term either.
But he will declare victory at the first tiny bit of good news.

He will similarly point to the price of one commodity going down and declare victory on inflation

He will point to someone opening a factory with 27 jobs and say he is bringing jobs back to america.

The biggest effect he had last time around was taking away itemized deductions for UMC and cutting taxes for corporations and the weaelthy.

At least until COVID which started off pretty good with the restrcicted flights to china. Then he shat the bed with masks and anti vaxx stance on a vaccine HE PUSHED FOR.
I am was shocked that he didn't take credit for a vaccine he had an actual role in bringing to market so quickly.

Yeah, They're not going to deport those guys and frankly those are the guys a lot of working class voters have a problem with.
Illegal aliens are bad for lower income job security.

Isn't the commercial real estate market completely swamped with unoccupied properties at the moment?

Seems like an easy solution to the issue of temporary civil (not criminal) detention space.

"access to jobs..." you might want to take a look at the political affiliation of the people who own the types of companies who hire these people.

Agriculture
Construction
Hotels (I mean, even Trump's hotels hired them)

And I bet if people call ICE to report it they will ignore it because he's a big donor. Complete shit show. Rules for thee but not for me.

What a load of garbage!

We all need to calm down about the proposed mass deportations. There’s nothing in Trump‘s past that indicates he will handle this or any other issue competently. We will get a lot of tough talk on TV from Homan (which is exactly why Trump chose him), but implementation will turn out to be much harder than they anticipate. Remember also that technically Trump can’t run for another term so he doesn’t need to perform for future votes. He will most likely backtrack on his more draconian promises, including mass deportations.

If you all think our R and D politicians along with their wealthy donors give a dang about serving to the best interests of the American people as a whole, you are greatly, greatly mistaken. This behavior is nothing new.

It won't be near as expensive as supporting these migrants long term.

Get the f'ing criminals out of our country. Just yesterday an illegal migrant set a woman on fire on the NYC subway. She died. The migrant has a criminal record but was allowed to remain in the country.

We have millions of illegal migrants living here. Over a million have ACTIVE deportation orders but are still here. Ridiculous.

Members of this administration - Biden, Harris, Mayorkas - have blood on their hands due to their negligence in securing our border. Time to get these people out. And, time to find the hundreds of thousands of children this administration has lost. Lord knows what happened to them or what horrendous treatment they are enduring.
