This isn’t complicated. The boy she was exchanging notes with and ( possibly) hooking up with from time to time. The boy that was artsy and exciting was actually a very sh—y person to be in a real, committed, adult relationship with.
Limerence is probably correct.
And she seems to have recovered.
Good for her. Those sorts of relationships make for great art and a crappy life.
