8 year old too big for XXL Gap tops?

Where do I find and what size is next for clothing for a third grader too big for xxl (16) target and gap sizes? size 14 bottom. She's not overweight, but size xxl barely fitting anymore. She would be about a 160 in hannah anderson, but doesn't like the styles there anymore.

Old navy runs larger and has a size 18. My 125 lb 13 year old fits well into old navy XXL.

Justice has some larger sizes.

The size that is “next” is women’s XS. But it seems like your real question is, which brands have larger children’s clothes than Gap/Old Navy? Is that right? I would be interested in knowing this too. Old Navy in particular seems to run quite small (for boys, anyway).

Wouldn't Junior sizing be next? I know Kohls has a Junior dept.

Just buy regular clothes. We all had to do it, I have no idea how tall your kid is, but there are junior sizes and if that is too small, move onto adult clothes.

Your 8 yo that cannot wear gap XXL is most definitely overweight. My 11 year old (who is 50th % for weight) wears XL at Gapkids.

She's "big-boned'.

Please. My 8 yo is 80th for height and weight and wears a Gap L. And before people flame me, I would not have said a word except that OP went out of her way to say her child is not overweight. The denial is not helping her child!

Yeah, I'm sure that's the only reason you said it.

If her daughter is overweight, I'm sure she knows it. She's trying to get some help, not shamed. Go away, please.

It’s her daughter who needs the help.

I’m a mom and I can wear 14-16 kids and I wear a 4-6 women’s. How big is this kid?

+1 please work on her weight. It’s not normal for an 8 year old to not fit in normal kid sizes.

How is she not overweight? My kid starts third grade and wears a M top and size 7 bottom, and is tall and not super skinny. That seems like an extreme outlier if your child cannot wear an XXL. I would just do adult size S or something, but I'd also get her in an exercise program, watch her portions, and try to help her make healthier food choices.

A size 160 in Hanna Andersson means the kid is about 5’2” at 8years old? ?
