I love Melania's style but this is such a lame Easter outfit. It would be fine for any other event but it just feels so dull compared to all the pastels.

It's not a terrible outfit, but totally wrong for this event. I do think she messages through her clothes and the message here is I don't want to be here.

I don't understand why she would not want to be there of all required-of-her events? I mean, we all constantly comment on here how happy she is around children, no?

I have said this before but I watched the video of her Valentine’s Day appearance at NIH children’s house and it was painful. She looked bored, awkward, etc. it was particularly surprising because th still photos from the event caught her with a great smile. I think she’s done with all of it. It’s probably particularly stressful when she has to stand next to him and figure out what to do when he makes these weird comments. I don’t think she’s got the EQ to handle that gracefully or with any intuition. Some wives are much better at managing their husband with dementia.

Wow, I hate it too.

Agree - especially on the right (just the dress) it’s so ugly. It’s fine on her, but the cut and sleeve length are just giving Mormon Missionary. I can’t tell if it’s the fabric or the colorway.

Man, she really loves this Toccin brand, huh? I wonder if they agreed to style her or something.

I've noticed when she has a trip she goes all in on one brand, probably because it's easy to buy it all at once. She did that with Favorite Daughter in Europe a couple years ago.

Favorite Daughter is sold at Nordstrom and Toccin is sold at Bloomingdale's so I would imagine she's just buying things that are easy for staff to return to Tyson's while she's gone if it doesn't work out.

Not sure what's funny but okay.

agree. Her color choices are white, beige, navy, black. Grey on a good day.

She has gorgeous hair.

Of course a DCUMom would say that. She has the same hair as you do. Generic blonde mom hair.

Dp but I also think it's pretty. it's very thick and has great body to it, and she clearly spends a lot of time getting it highlighted rather than the garish yellow blond most Trumpettes have.

I'm skeptical it's all real. But I am also tired of seeing these women, well into menopause, with hair past their boobs and approaching the waistline, even if it is real. In older women it has the effect of dragging the face down.

I wonder if people haven't just become more used to this look--see this thread from 5 years ago: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/120/939545.page

It's absolutely NOT all real.

No, I'm one of the ones who thinks it's pretty and no shot that it's 100% real lol. But I'm not convinced Kate Middleton's hair is all real either.

My daughter has hair like that — long, thick, natural blond — and it’s beautiful. I told her never to highlight it, even if it starts to darken, because that will ruin its texture. She washes it about 1 x week and does not use heat on it, which is probably why it’s so healthy.

Interesting, why? I don't like the color combo but I actually felt like this was one of her better looks lol.

The colors are awful and do absolutely nothing for her.

It fits and it's not drab. I call it a win.

+1
Like the PP, looking at the dress by itself on the right is a visceral hate. Cannot imagine looking at that twice. Looks like thrift shop garbage. On her, though, it's a win. Somehow it works. That's exactly the vision a stylist has so maybe she has one?

Sure, it fits her, and I get that it's hard to find maternity clothes that are cute, but I think the dress itself is ugly. It would be great if she was wearing it in a normal color or pattern.

Yeah but your daughter is not 50+. It's rare for an older woman who regularly dyes and does god knows what else to her hair to have that much of it. I'm not saying it doesn't happen (because I'm sure a handful of people will say - "my hair looks like that!" - but it is rare.

Also I stand by my earlier assessment that DCUM loves this hair because it is the same terrible dye job they have.

DP. I have very dark, frizzy hair that is the polar opposite of her hair and I think hers is stunning. I would love to have hair that looks like that. Maybe you could just accept that you don't speak for everyone?

I'm kind of bored with Ivanka. I think I kept waiting for her to be interesting or do something interesting but she doesn't seem capable of it.

Poor Ivanka, Jared I guess is back in the inner circle for some reason but not her.

Never said I did! We're all allowed to have our own opinions. I am sure your hair looks much better than you think it does - if not, consider that your hair is not frizzy, it's curly, and you need to find a stylist to show you how to work with your natural curls.
