| While the start of next year's campaign only about 9 months or so off, does anyone have any early predictions for the next ISL season? Seems like Visi is graduating a lot but Stone Ridge looks good, as does SSSAS, right? And does Flint Hill move up now? |
| Flint Hill should move up |
|
Flint Hill will move up, they won the A division.
Either Episcopal or Holy Child moves down (EHS it looks like). Based on graduating seniors and current sophomores and juniors, SSSAS will probably be the best team next year. Stone Ridge maybe second best. Visi will struggle to be near the top, not as much talent as in past coming up. Holton should be fine. Bullis will struggle with top two players graduating. Potomac top scorer and draw taker graduating but promising underclassmen. Holy Child has some talented underclassmen. Flint Hill should be decent, some underclassmen look strong. All in all probably some surprises next year. |
| Isn't FH losing its top scorer? |
| Holy Child stays. Episcopal moves down. |
FH has two 2021s who are excellent. |
| So one of the two is going to Visitation, leaving 1 then right? Or did FH have 3? |

Really, that is pretty big news since FH has only 2 and one is coach's daughter. |
With a weak schedule from top to bottom and no significant wins, not sure how you can evaluate talent on FH. Offensive production will be reduced by more than 50% next year, overrated at this point. |
| Based solely on looking at the rosters of returning underclassmen, it will be Saints versus Stone Ridge in the championship. Visi will suffer from the 10 graduating seniors - 8 of which started - but most importantly the loss of their all-american goalie. The Stone Ridge goalie will have another year under her belt after just starting this year. So with their now-junior midfielders and a more seasoned goalie, I'd look for them to give Saints all they can handle despite Saints returning 18/26 on the varsity roster and the bulk of their scoring. |
| There are some rumors that Visi has admitted some new upper classmen for next year that happen to be strong lacrosse players. If that is true and the girls are top players (one I have heard is, one is not) it might change some predictions. |
Unless this top player can hold down 2 defensive spots, occupy the center and one spot on the draw circle, and play attack + goalie, might be better for Visi to move down to ISL A for a couple of years. |
