Does anyone else think all the men wearing brown dressy shoes looks terrible?

I get it, it’s more modern, or something. But I hate it. It just looks ... off. Immature, maybe. And now with the almost orange shades of brown being worn ... so tacky. DH sticks with black, so far, but has been asking about brown and those orange-like shades that seem to be so popular now. Am I just getting old and out of touch?

Clothes on the right man look great, period. Men can have options too.

I love it. My DH has a nice fitted blue suit with some tan lace up shoes and he looks on point. I'm still coaxing him into more fun socks.

I'm French, and over there as well as other places on earth, brown leather shoes are the epitome of traditional style. Please get out of your little corner.

Omg the brown/orange dress shoes with the obnoxious socks is so awful.

I did two years in London and recall all the businessmen wore black dress shoes.

DP. Nope it's natty. I love it. I like a man who takes care with his appearance. My SO has a navy bespoke suit and some brown oxfords and I got him quirky socks. He looks sooooo hot in that.

I don't really have an opinion - DH just bought a pair of brown shoes - but it doesn't hit me as modern, seems more old fashioned if anything!

It’s very showy (esp in the popular bright shades and the socks) is maybe the word I’m looking for, which is a feminine trait in my opinion.

What does your DH wear with navy?

This shade especially triggers me.

Samesies! Black dress shoes look so formal and outdated. After seeing like every man under 40 near K St. rocking this look--slim pants, snazzy colorful socks often with pink as a color, and brown shoes--I got my husband some snazzy socks a year ago, and he got some more on his own. I like this look.
