Were you around in the 1700s? Or, like the rest of us, were you born in the late 1900s when things were already built? Or did you have a different point!

Doesn't matter. It seems that how your ancestors came affects your philosophy on the issue. Descendants of immigrants think this country is a nation of immigrants, established unorganically and very deliberately to create opportunities for people from other countries to make money and support their immediate families and their families back home monetarily. Those not descendant from immigrants, we think differently.

Which tribal nation do you belong to?

You realize where JD Vance gets his money and power, right?

?

His benefactor is one of the billionaire tech fund private equity guys.

Walz let Vance off easy on so many places where Vance lied with his snakey smile. But Walz finally got him in the end where it mattered.

Wallz won when he said we can't let Donald Trump seize power without a firewall. And JD Vance is too power hungry to be Trump's firewall.

CNN analysis said Walz was not prepared enough. Memorized too many lines. Not able to respond in real time. Needed more interviews with media!!!!

Wow the DAR snobs out in force tonight. I’m proud descendent of 19th and 20th century immigrants who came to a country where previous arrivals had built something, and who helped to build something even better, working in factories and building America’s bridges and roads to create the world’s greatest economy.

That's cool, doesn't mean we are at our foundation a nation of immigrants and should allow for mass immigration now. None of this means that immigration never happened. Just means that plenty of us are not immigrants or descendant from immigrants, and do not have warm fuzzy feeling about immigration.

Why won't you answer which tribal nation you belong to?

Vance made his case concretely, stating people's real specific concerns, and got the last word. Believe him or not, he hit the target dead center for people concerned about their own immediate lives, not theoretically abstractions.

She specifically endorsed Harris-Walz. There was nothing wrong with his close.

Nailed all the lies?

I think Walz is a natural prevaricator. I would love to know if his son really witnessed a school shooting. There was another anecdote Walz mentioned about his son on Jan 6, which sounded shady as well. I honestly believe he can’t help himself. I find it worrisome.

Exactly. Walz's closing statement was strong.

Vance suggesting that Trump handed power over on January 20 when the man wasn't present for the transfer of power, didn't shake hands is a really gaffe.

America is a nation of immigrants. So yeah, opposing it is racist.

Do try to keep up.

Your first two sentences do not go together, so the "so" does not make sense.

America is not a nation of immigrants. Immigrants have decided to come to an established nation. This is a nuance but important. Not all Americans are descendant from immigrants. Does our history not matter?

Holy cow.

You want to send the Europeans back to Europe, Chief Big Horse?
Sure, do it.

A set of Europeans (mostly if not all Englishmen) established the nation. Oh and they brought over some in the hullls of ships to build the economy. None of the descendants of these two groups are immigrant. You can't be an immigrant in a country you literally built from scratch on paper and with your hands.

I think this poster wants to send back the Irish, Italians, Eastern Europeans, Japanese, etc etc….

No, just understand that there is a history before mass immigration and many of us do not feel any connection to the concept of "nation of immigrants".

Understand that your insistence on this sounds like MAGA. So think about that. You sound like you are against immigration.

Against illegal immigration

They are both true stories.
