I thought the same thing about Guy's hair because of how it looked in the sun on the Tahiti trip. I also wondered that about Golden Bachelor Gerry because of how thick it looks which is unusual at his age. |
Excellent article with Pascal. He talks about the challenges of being from different cities and how Chock was like a stalker:
"Chock was all over her to the point where he was [like a] stalker. I mean, it was like, “I love you, let’s leave. Let’s do this, let’s do that.” And, “Which side of the bed are you sleeping on?” It’s bizarre behavior. I don’t know. “I can’t wait to be with you. I feel my love with you.” Maybe in Wichita there is no women. I don’t know." https://www.glamour.com/story/the-golden-bachelorette-pascal-interview?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_source=glm-us |
The other guys don't like Chock and Chock doesn't care. He is weird. |
Gerry's of Irish descent. Many Irish guys have thick hair and it lasts into old age. However, it must be dyed. He shoukd be gray. |
Not true. Which is more common:husbands leaving wives for younger women or wives leaving husbands for younger men? Many studies have shown that men prioritize appearance when choosing romantic partners. Women’s priorities are much more substantial and nuanced. |
Maybe. And of course men are attracted to youthful women. But I still think that women are competitive with each other and the initial motivation to improve looks is geared to awards what other women will think. Maybe I’m probably projecting. Because if I’m being honest - I know for myself I think about how other women view me even more than men. |
Random thoughts -
Nancy is kind, warm and gorgeous. Pascal is such a nice and honest guy. He’s my favorite after this episode. Why was dinner always served on teeny tiny tables? Had to skip Chock’s scenes, he’s unbearable. |
I think trophy wives are in constant fear if being traded in for a newer model. |
Probably if the two main characters are not seated very close to each other, you could not get them in one shot? |
Because the scene is staged and they aren’t really enjoying a long romantic dinner. Everything is staged. I’m sure the director steers the conversation and there are multiple stops and retakes until they get what they are looking for. The meal is secondary to all of this. I bet they don’t even eat |
Are you a trophy wife yourself and know this firsthand? |
Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a well educated, independent woman who thinks kept wives are on the prostitution spectrum. |
Yes, there have been other shots where they cram them together. The small tables had tablecloths that weren’t centered, more fabric on the side facing the camera than near the couples. I wanted to straighten it out! But again that’s probably for the shot. They didn’t eat any of the food. When Joan and Guy left their plates were full. Wasted food or maybe in reality they walked back to the food after the director got the shot. |
Hahaha, yes, that is how I feel about Chock. Creepy AF. |
I know I'm way behind all of you, because I don't have hulu so I'm watching free streaming on ABC and I'm just now on hometown dates ... but... I have to say that I got so excited when Joan was in the chair in the robe in Pascal's gorgeous salon. I thought they were going to deal with those horrible extensions and cut her hair! But no. Sigh. |
