McLean Modern Farmhouse Designed by Lauren Leiss

Whoah! Way too many trends going on here. The wall panels are awful and very taste specific. Thoughts?

I wouldn't make all the same interior design choices, but I like the house. Franklin Park is a fantastic neighborhood.

I usually like her stuff. This one is fugly. Man.

Whoa. That is not really my style as I like ultra modern, but I think that home is beautiful. I would absolutely live there if it weren't 7000 sf!

No mantel over the fireplace in the family room and a ‘gather ‘ sign on the porch wall - I’m out!

It feels like HGTV threw up every last trend from the last 5 years in that house.

the wall paneling is the worst offense. and the gather sign though that can easily be removed!

Where is the pond and the outdoor kitchen? For 3.2 million dollars there shouldn’t just be a patio outside with something to do (cook, outdoor movies?, swim) and look at. The weird cauldron on the patio does not cut it.

I like it fine. Bathrooms in each bedroom, lots of built ins, great kitchen, rec rooms, screen porch .
Outdoor space needs to be improved for 3 million bucks.

The bathrooms with the toilets right next to the vanity or shower are kind of yucky. There’s enough square footage to at least partition those off behind a half wall. It’s an esthetic thing.

It seems insanely overpriced to me.

I do like the screened in porch with the fireplace, though.

Overpriced, perhaps. Insanely overpriced, no, considering this similar house sold for $2.9 M earlier this year:

I feel like the photography could have been better. But overall I’m not a fan. It’s just too much.

I don’t think she’s responsible for the porch sign. This is not my style - I particularly dislike all the black outside and the beams - but it’s executed well and thoughtfully. I don’t think the fireplace photographs well but that room is beautifully decorated imo. I bet the fireplace has a lot more texture/interest in person. The kitchen again is not my cup of tea but it looks very well done and suits the rest of the house.

Why all the weird concrete stairs and walls in the backyard? For 3.2 million bucks the backyard should not be a ‘project’.

The strangely placed cauldron, the lonely Sears BBQ & the trampoline do not make it a functioning backyard for that price point.

You’re supposed to sit on your Adirondack chair and look at concrete stairs and weird tall grass bushes?

Looks small to me, for that price I expect more molding
