It's accurate

That isn’t the point

What's the point?

It’s potentially illegal. Agents have to be very careful about what they say about schools.

Haha, so stating a fact that it's a sought after AAP center is illegal. No.

Agree and just because he/she listed AAP doesn't mean your kid is getting into the program based on you buying the house! LOL

Haha under contract, 22101

That house is so trendy that it is already dated. I do like the family room though.

Again another episode of dcum opinion does not reflect the real estate market.

I guess someone liked it enough to put an offer. It’s under contract!

That’s really fast for a $3.2M house in this area.

DCUM is terrible at pricing homes.

Not my style but it's OK.

Based on the pantry with the Costco snacks, I wonder how much say she actually had over the staging and even design. A lot of it is her style but i refuse to believe she is responsible for the Gather sign.

Love the kitchen. Not white = beautiful.

Puke inducing.

It's a great combination of house, location, neighborhood, and schools.

No one wants to take responsibility for the Gather sign, but it's there.

I like the front porch and the library (except for the barn door, which will age horribly and doesn't go stylistically with the library)

Some rich person who likes her HGTV show will buy it, then in 4 years when they get tired of it they'll hire a designer to redo it (and hopefully rip out the gray wood paneling when they do!).
.

I disagree. I think there are very obvious signs of LL’s work, but then the homeowner added their own spin once LL was done. Which was a mistake. LL definitely has her own style, that’s not everyone’s taste, but her designs are typically refined and subdued. Not... this.

I agree with this. I usually like LL's work way more than I liked this, and I thought her calling card was kind of subtle layering. Sometimes her choices are a bit off the wall for me, but I usually find her work a bit more...inspirational or something, like even if I couldn't envision LL's design in my house, I like the concept. Not so much here.

The 2-seat dining room seats though...whoever picked those, they seem insanely annoying in practice. How irritating if you're sharing with someone and they get up/push the seat back? I also hated the wall paneling and extreme farmy-ness of the stair rails, sliding barn door near entry.

While we could afford this house, we probably would never spend over $3.0M for a property in this area.

Having said that, there's a lot I love about this house. Love that neighborhood; not sure there's anywhere else as close to DC that has such a private feel. Love the exterior of the house. The library is a fantastic space, as is the family room. Not crazy about the kitchen, but the breakfast nook is great. Would love to have a screened outside porch like this. The bedrooms are nice and large; also like the built-in bookcases and nooks. The finished basement has everything we'd want in a basement. And the laundry space is as big as some of the bedrooms in our old house.
