| Wow. Toured and was surprised by the industrial area around the campus. Do you think that impacts applications? My DS was totally turned off. |
| There are a lot of $EC schools that are just as, um, plain. |
| UMBC is pretty terrible. |
| Commuter college. |
Name one. Every SEC school I’ve been to has been beautiful. |
| Serious question: were you expecting it to be beautiful? I mean, this is a college in Suburban Sprawl, VA. It's not exactly a part of the state/country known for its aesthetics. |
|
Not sure why this surprises you. And it’s not really industrial, just NoVa suburbs.
But there’s a lot of new dev on campus. So really nice spaces being built. |
| Koch Brothers should spend their money beautifying |
| Check out American & GW. Or JMU. Or 100s of other schools. If you pay $70k a year, you’ll probably get a pretty campus. Otherwise, quit your complaining. |
#1 Mason and UMBC are really good schools and great value, my nephew is at Mason. But come on, If you are just looking at beauty of campus they don’t come close to SEC schools——have you been so Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn.... |
| Sorry. It is hideous. |
Texas A&M is worse...far worse...and then, you're there...in Aggieland...
|
This is a stupid comment and not remotely true |
| You learn inside. How it looks outside matters 0. |
| For $6000 per semester, it’s beautiful. We love! |
