How many kids did you want before having any? How many kids do you have now? How many do you think you’ll end up with? But please don’t judge people’s choices on this thread. It’ll just be interesting to see how things change or don’t. |

I ought is want 3 as I'm an only and kinda wanted a larger family and to experience the sibling thing.
Had 1, great easy kid, totally changed how we live etc and brought me to reality of parenthood. Was perfectly happy to be one and done. Currently pregnant with 2. It was hard to conceive with the first so we just stopped using protection after her birth and figured whatever happens happens. Took 3 years and I'm due on the summer. Freaking out about logistics but happy in general. |

How many kids did you want before having any?
Me: 3 (I was an only child and wanted the opposite feeling for my family) DH: 2 (wanted to recreate his family of two kids close in age), but maybe open to 3 How many kids do you have now? We had 2 close together and then a third after a 4 year gap How many do you think you’ll end up with? DH now wants to consider a fourth. I think we’ll probably stick to our 3, but I’m open to the conversation once our third is 2 years old. |

| I wanted three. DH wanted two but was open to three. We had two and realized that a third would be a strain on our family in many ways and so we stopped. Kids are 7 and 9 and I feel like we have a perfect family. |

I always wanted two children. I do not have any living children. I've lost two pregnancies-- one very early in my first trimester, and my daughter later in my pregnancy. I would still like to have a child, but I am struggling with infertility, (I am not investigating adoption at this time) so I am predicting that I will not have any living children. |

Currently have 3. I would still love 4 but I think for financial reasons, we’ll stick with 3. |
