Probably because Harry was so traumatized by having to walk behind his mother's coffin.

There is a big difference between a 12 year old walking behind their mother’s coffin along the streets of London with hundreds of thousands mourners watching you and weeping loudly compared to a 13 year old walking behind their grandfathers coffin on a short walk along the quiet streets of Windsor.

I heard they wanted to avoid the comparison between Harry and James, per the poster's question. Tabloid commentators would make it all about Harry.

Two questions:

Did they change the position order of the procession in St George? Princes William and Harry were behind one another versus on opposite rows as was initially reported. This seems to be a good sign of hearts being mended along with the chatting after service.

Lady Louise is being pushed forwarded by her parents. I realize she is 17 and was close to her Grandfather, but it seems her being out and about are conscious choices. Perhaps as a PP speculated, in order to have her “set up financially” by the Queen while she is still sovereign?

Princess Anne.

No. It was much earlier and part of the military procession much earlier than the family appeared.

Maybe Lady Sarah Chatto? She’s Princess Margaret’s daughter and is very close to the queen. She was in this PBS special I saw about the Queen’s 90th bday and she came across as very sweet and down to earth. Surprising, considering her mother was neither.

Why are there so many posters on this forum who always think the worst? Lady Louise obviously loves her grandparents. Since her parents are 2 of the 7 working royals, there is nothing wrong with her accompanying them on tribute visits to view flowers/gifts laid out for her beloved grandfather. If anything, the Wessexes are the kind-hearted, non-flashy and definitely non-greedy line of the family.

You know Meghan saw that and was furiously calling Harry to tell him to step away.

Harry and Kate were chatting a lot.

He used to call her the sister he never had. They were very close for over a decade.

I couldn’t help but think Harry has a lot of regret. He is deeply upset he didn’t get a chance to say good-bye to his grandfather in person. I saw him looking all around outside and in the chapel and had to be thinking “wtf did I do?” Also, he was very close to his cousins and now is exiled from them, his friends and family.

Meghan picked a man with lots of trauma- mother killed when he was 12 in tragic manner, broken home, public affairs, mother with mental illness and preyed on him and cut him off from his family like a true borderline personality. It happened so fast which is what Kate and Will tried to warn him about.

I feel sorry for him. He always had a big heart, was not the sharpest knife in the drawer but a decent person who valued his military service and now that is gone too.

The only woman who walked in behind Prince Philip's coffin was Princess Anne with the wide-brimmed black hat and many military medals on her coat. The camera angle may have made her look more petite.

Reports were that Harry was informed that Prince Philip went home from hospital to die, and Harry chose not to go to UK to see him.

The whole world knew he went home to die.

It was such a beautiful, moving ceremony. Seeing the Queen sit alone for the ceremony was so sad. The music and image of the Prince's horse and carriage with his riding gloves and sugar cubes for his horses were very moving.

What a hero and remarkable human being.
