I wonder if Kate blames herself for her dad's death. Can't wait to see how that happens.

So from those oblique funeral shots, does it look like Jack dies when the kids are teens?

That's what all the news sites and producers are saying. When I saw it, I thought they looked to be in their early 20s, but I'm one of those people who thinks Jack died on September 11, so my version feeds into that timeline...which is probably totally wrong.

I don't think so--they seems way younger than that even though you can't really see them. A side view of Kate had us guessing teenagers.

EW is saying the next episode is Feb 7th, IMDB is saying Jan 31st. I do not watch the previews at the end of the episode in an attempt to be surprised.

There are 4 episodes left regardless, since only 18 were filmed and last night was episode 14.

My DIRECTV channel guide says the 31st is a rerun of the ep at the cabin.

I'm watching the birthday episode but wasn't Randall brought to the hospital after he was home with his dad and the mom died? Do they address this at all?

We don't know that the mom died, just that she wasn't in the picture.

She died. They've said it.

Only if he tried to lift her up.

Didn't she die in childbirth?

Awful person alert.

The kids look the same age they were at when they showed them playing HS football against one another. I think they would be seniors in high school at that time, so the year would like 1997 or 1998. They tossed in that whole football rivalry line which was a little out of place except for showing how Kevin wasn't ever nice to Randall. Maybe something happened on the way home from there.

I am getting annoyed with everyone being so happy go lucky. Wonder if that will change.

Not pp. but I read this just before bed the other night. So... I had dreams where that's what happened. It makes sense it could happen!!

We just learned that Kevin was married until 10-12 years ago. So until age 24ish. XW lives in NYC. We know that NYC is where Randall built his career--and he could have started that at age 21-22 (where did he go to college btw?). Maybe jack was visiting them, doing tourist stuff while they were busy. And you know if 9/11 went down, he'd be jumping in to help. Maybe that's the source of the especially traumatic/buried feelings Kate has about her dad.

Anyways, if it's true..id be sad it's spoiled. Because it would be an amazing twist on top of the other unique stories.

Someone said it. Doesn't mean it was truth.

I think that came from william's story when he and Randall met. But we know he didn't tell Randall everything (that he and Rebecca knew each other).
