A person was arrested today for sending a fake ransom note. Psychos will jump on these situations as opportunities.

Wow, was it the one sent to TMZ?

People today don’t even know where to put a stamp on an envelope - heck, they don’t even know how to even buy stamps. No one is mailing a ransom note in 2026. Email neither.

They could have left it on the kitchen table.

Do you believe the Ramseys ransom letter as well? Do you believe a foreign faction killed JonBenet?

Don't read the thread if you don't want to hear what a variety of people think.

I have also reported the stupid mean posts. We are supposed to be better than the Fairfax underground types, people. Be better.

Jussie Smollett? You think Savannah staged this?

I don't think much about it but yes, i can see that.

I am the PP who suspects the sister and BIL because the cameras were disabled and there are no signs of forced entry. I don’t see how or why Savannah would stage this

The sheriff said the cameras recorded over earlier footage.

I just see her as completely FOS so it doesn't seem so farfetched to me. Time will tell.

Savannah has nothing to gain from staging her mother’s demise. If her mother promised 1/3 of her assets to the older sister, then that certainly is a motive to explore

What assets do you think the mother has?? The family has money from Savannah's success. The mom was a SAHM. The husband died with they were teens. They couldn't even afford for Savannah to live in the dorms in college.

Correction: The mother has money from Savannah’s success. A 3,000 sq ft mansion for a 85 year old with mobility issues is a bit excessive. The mother was certainly not starving but the siblings? There’s no telling

The woman and her husband bought the house in 1975 for like 85k. Savannah was a preschooler. She has lived in that house for 50 years.

You are delulu. That is not a mansion. That is a normal single story brick house normal for Tucson in the 1980s for a middle class family. Like everyone I knew had a house like that or in stucco with a pool out back and cacti in the yard. The whole family looks like very normal Tucson folk.

For the record, there WERE signs of forced entry. MULTIPLE news outlets have reported this.

The sheriff pushed back on this today at the press conference. Basically he would not confirm or deny if there was forced entry but made it clear that he never indicated there was forced entry. So make of that what you want...

So ring has video but since she didn't pay ring won't give the footage?!

No Ring doesn't "have" the video and refusing to turn it over. It was never saved because there was no subscription.

Does ring actually store footage of people who don’t pay? That would be a lot of extra storage!

I just read that no video gets recorded without a Ring subscription. That's kind of nuts and unfortunate in this case. I used to have Blink cameras and it would record videos that you could store for a limited time but apparently this is not the case with Ring.

I applaud this sheriff for the fact that he cares deeply about this, but he definitely seems in over his head with this.

I'm done with this story. It's way too forced and astroturfed. I even heard country music radio station yapping about it. It has become a national distraction, presumably away from the Epstein files and Israel's war efforts.

The brother sent a message to the kidnappers on his own as well. This may be small, but I am surprised they didn't have read from something posted in front of him, instead of a page he holds. You could print out the words in large font and hold it off camera. It makes it less obvious that it's scripted.

The house might be worthless but the land could be worth $1M+.

I think the ransom demands were sent to the local stations earlier and they kept it quiet, but TMZ did TMZ. Maybe the kidnapper wanted coverage of the ransom demand and when the local outlets didn't report it (probably at the request of LE) he went to TMZ knowing they would put it out there.
