OOH, mommy look what they made me do! Really PP, can't you come up with something better than this toddler BS.

This type of vitriol only tells me Ds know they’ve been played and outmaneuvered.

Trump is using it as an opportunity to do mass layoffs and permanently close whole parts of the federal bureaucracy.

Right. But at what point will Trump actually try to govern the country. Also, when's he going to release those Epstein files?

Oh, he's governing. The fact that you don't like it tells everyone he is.

No, he's actually not. At least not democratically. He hasn't passed a budget. He can't adequately run the executive branch. All he's doing is destroying what he doesn't understand, and that's everything.

The House passed a CR. Democrats didn't go along in the Senate.

Oh well.

That's not the same thing as hashing out a budget based on stated priorities and debating it.

You idiots keep voting for GOP and Dem politicians and then magically expect different results. This is the definition of insanity and stupidity.

This is not a "both sides" thing no matter ho many times you try to post otherwise.

I'm so sick of the "both sides" posters. There are two very distinct sides. On one side we have the regular 99% of American people fighting to cling to some amount of control over their Federal Government. On the other side we have the ultra-wealthy political mega-donors who have gained 99.9% of control over our two corrupt major political parties.

I'm siding with the 99% of regular American people and I say eff you to the lost fools out there who are siding with the mega-donors when they themselves don't have the wealth to buy political influence. Be smarter!!

There are plenty of candidates out there who refuse contributions from mega-donors. You could at least support them.

There are some but not plenty of national level GOP and Dem politicians out there who aren't mega-donor puppets and I do appreciate those politicians who choose to maintain their integrity over advancing their careers (looking at you AOC). Unfortunately for those politicians, their career ceilings are capped at a low level due to their refusal to play nice with money (looking at you AOC).

AOC? Please list AOC’s accomplishments in Congress. Tell us how many pieces of legislation she has authored and passed into law while in Congress? Give us examples of how effective she is and her hard work for the American people. Please. I want to like her but can’t find many examples of concrete work she has successfully completed.

You missed the point, pea-brain. AOC hasn't had much influence in Congress because she is shunned by her colleagues due to her refusal to play nice puppet with the mega-donors and her willingness to call out her colleagues for lining their pockets via what amounts to insider trading. Give me someone with AOC integrity any day over a Trump or Biden.

Right. She's a Bernie Sanders style radical. Therefore, she's not a great choice if the goal is to get things done. Why would this be different when she is President?

AOC’s “style” is not radical. I would argue government based on the whims of billionaire donors is radical. I don’t want to get things done if screwing over regular people is all we can manage to get done.

THIS. Governing according to the whims and vengeance of an unstable, senile man is radical.
AOC wanting to feed children, wanting people to have living wages and access to health and education, wanting a clean environment . . . those are not radical ideas. Just ask the farmers asking for a handout right now. Ask Argentina, being bailed out by Trump.

This isn’t a discussion about elections, past or future. It is a discussion about the current government shutdown. Stay focused.

You are on every post with this both sides whining. No one cares. We have the government we have, and we are still allowed us discuss and debate the actions they are or are not taking.

And we will continue to have the dysfunctional Federal Government we have as long as you short-sighted dupes who fail to get the big picture while dwelling on snapshot in time moments of dysfunction and awfulness. History repeats itself. Learn from it.

What do you want people to do right now? Sit on our hands till 2026? Not care what’s happening to are fellow citizens? Not care that Congress is refusing to govern?

I honestly don’t get your point. What do you want people to do other than whine with you have both sides suck?

Yes! This poster continues to bemoan our government, Biden, Trump, our 2 parties, the age of the candidates, etc, etc., but I’ve yet to hear any suggestions on how to get go forward.

Stop supporting two failed entities that have evolved into toxic and corrupt pawns of their already wealthy and powerful mega-donors!!!!!!! How obvious does this have to be for you pea-brain, gullible fools to get it? A third grader could figure this out for god's sake.

My apologies for the name-calling. I still love you all. Just asking everyone to try harder to get the big picture. There is ZERO hope for positive change going forward as long as our country is ruled by these two failed PRIVATE entities.

Setting aside the fact that you are a jerk who isn’t as bright as you think you are, can you please be more concrete in terms of what you want people to do right now? stop with the peripheral “don’t support the parties in power.” What do you want people to do right now to push back against perceived wrongs with respect to the government shutdown and federal budget?

He doesn't have any scandals. He's too dumb to have scandals.

I used to get so frustrating when he lies because he can't pull it off. Politicians lie, that's their job, and the president lies better than any of them. But Johnson is bad at it. Because he's so dumb he just can't lie properly. So I've decided to forgive him for being so bad at it. He can't help it, the poor thing.

Fact check:
“Based on federal rules and legislation passed in 2025, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients are no longer eligible for enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies as of August 25, 2025. Refugees and asylees will also lose access to subsidized ACA coverage starting January 1, 2027”
