I’m hearing “cringy” all over tik tok. Of course, nothing else, just “cringy”. Would you care to elaborate on what made it “cringy”?

I watched and found nothing cringy at all. Maybe it's just a talking point republicans were prepared to blast on social media hoping they could mislead folks who didn't watch?

What's cringy about the married couple talking about their devastation having a miscarriage and then the bleeding wife not being given any medical care due to Trump's policies and judges. I appreciated a man (just like Tim Walz did re: IVF) speaking about how reproductive freedom for women is a man's issue too and will impact men. What's cringey about a young woman explaining how current abortion laws in some states wouldn't have allowed her to get an abortion despite incest when she was raped at 12: "how is it a beautiful thing for a child to give birth to her father's child?"

What was cringy about Warnock's oratory? Or Biden's forceful and emotional speech? Or Jasmine Crockett? Or HRC?

Perhaps they didn't like Harris being humanized by people who've known her for decades? Or Biden being praised by his wife and only surviving daughter?

It appears that some republicans are so used to a diet of cynicism and negativity that genuine joy and hope and unity causes them to cringe. I feel fortunate that I don't feel that way. Several times last night I had to rub tears from my eye or felt genuine happiness and I'm grateful for it.

Do you even hear yourself talk?

Do I really want to hear about some couple’s gruesome miscarriage on national television? A man showboating about his feminism so he can get kudos at the next PTA meeting when he’s one of the three Dads who attends? A woman who admittedly is really good-looking talking about her father impregnating her at 12 years old when that’s not the baby’s fault?

Warnock aping a 9th grader impersonating MLK Jr? Raskin abandoning all forms of civility to take a cheap shot at the Republican ticket? That “look at me I’m a hot chick carrying a big book” state senator Mallory from Michigan? Jasmine Crockett’s ongoing rudeness and insolence in that silly getup? Mrs. Clinton stepping on the judicial system to intimidate judges into imprisoning a former President who has immunity for his actions in serving the country and erasing any chance of blackmail?

C’mon.

Yes, yes I do.

And? That was his rank in the army.

Are you stupid?

It was not, he retired as a Master Sergeant. You are stupid.

99% of us don’t care or even notice. 🤷 🤷‍♀️

I mean, Melania claims she attended college…and came here legally. You want me to get upset about a job title he held but then didn’t keep because he retired a year “early”?

I do not care

-melania isn’t running to be VP

-if you don’t care that Walz is misrepresenting his rank, you don’t care about honesty and truth.[/quote]

You’ve been corrected dozens of times. Even by the Guard itself. Stop the BS.

Yes, thank you. Appreciate you keeping it real.

As someone who had a dad a lot like Trump (megalomaniac racist obsessed with money), seeing the Biden, Harris, and Walz families at the DNC makes me smile. I'm eating these little moments up, especially the ones with their daughters.

It.Is.Packed. Even the nose bleed seats.

CNN said it was the hottest ticket in town.

A friend of mine who lives in Chicago said there was no way to get a ticket - not even to volunteer. It was full up.

Ohare was a hot mess. Have never seen an airport so crowded. Many Harris shirts.

It makes me a little mad - ok a lot mad actually - at the way he was just pushed out of the running by the big donors and party insiders. It was shameful the way he was treated. I really have a lot of anger over it that I haven’t processed. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but last night reignited my rage over how President Biden has been treated the last month.

And I’m not goin to lie, there’s a cynical bitter streak inside me that would be highly amused and perhaps even a little satisfied to see Trump win, as a fitting punishment for what the party insiders and big donors did to Joe.

Hope you were just as mad with how the GOP has treated HRC over the last 39 years. Benghazi, Benghazi, blah, emails, lock her up, blah, blah by the collection of incel white men in the GOP.

And all that emails and "lock her up" BS. So glad she will get her revenge on that orange fat ball.

Yes, happy to see some normal loving families.

I am so tired of the Trump toxic narcissistic father shit. Can't wait to hear nothing from him.

If this is your feelings about Walz, then it looks like you have nobody to vote for this year. You sitting out?

People are just tired of the dark, nihilist bullshit and constant whining and lying from Trump and company.

The constant lying and gaslighting really take a toll on our collective psyche.

I would guess his phone has been hidden from him for a day or two as they were rumored to have done in the past. It never works; he lets the rage simmer and then releases it later and anyway… who cares? He’s a sad weird old man. I never have and never will vote for him, but at least he had a sick fascination quality to him. Now he’s just weird and pathetic.

Whereas Biden, Clinton and Harris are intelligent and normal, good people who love their country.
