It does say that. Within the President's core constitutional duties, he is immune, and the underlying motive for an official act can't be challenged. Paying for a pardon is legal. Very simple. Cite something that suggests to the contrary.

The SCOTUS has said that Biden can do pretty much anything he wants to with the DOJ and that he is immune from criminal prosecution from using the military and intelligence agencies as he sees fit. No prosecutor can examine his motives. He is completely immune from prosecution in regards to anything he does with immigration policy. In his role as President this is what the conservative majority has ruled.

It's such a bad ruling. I love our country but how is it supposed to survive long term with this ruling? I'm sure no President in the next 500 years will ever use this ruling to keep themselves or their party in power.

So based on this ruling, why can’t Biden send the military to kill Trump and any future opponents. This ruling basically allows a dictatorship with the only check being Congress able to remove a president after impeachment. We all know that removal is almost impossible with today’s Congress.

They will if Trump is elected. They’ll slow down his agenda in friendly courts (ie, exactly what the Republicans have done for the past four years) but it’s not clear if Trump will adhere to the judiciary (SCOTUS can only rubber stamp so quickly) or what the consequences are if he does not.
