And, so, perhaps, Biden was wrong in that judgment. That is not a crime. And the Fatty One claimed that COVID would disappear quickly as well. But then you know that over 1Million Americans died for COVID. And that is a conservative number. While the Fatty One is a criminal, he is not criminal because he was wrong about COVID.

No one claimed Biden committed a crime. More people died of Covid under Biden’s watch than Trump’s. I recall Kamala saying she could never trust a vaccine developed under Trump’s administration and couldn’t believe she would spew such anti vax conspiracy theories.

And the Small One's complete incompetence allowed COVID to get out of control. Biden had to clean up the mess. And, yes, Trump's Admin did succeed with developing the various vaccines, though he opposed mandatory immunization, which was required to slow the spread.

Well, for what it's worth here's my take...

In general the issue is official vs unofficial acts. Official acts are immune from prosecution, unofficial acts are not. So you have to ask the question...was the act, in this case tackling the QB, and official or unofficial act?

Is the duty of the linebacker, when the ball is snapped, to tackle the QB? If yes, then he's committed an official act and is immune from prosecution.

Is the duty of the linebacker, on the way back to the huddle, to tackle the QB? If no, then he's committed an unofficial act and is not immune.

Now, obviously there are gray areas where the claim could be made that the linebacker acted recklessly in the first scenario and immunity becomes unclear. This is when the courts must sort out accountability. This is kind of why SCOTUS sent Trump's case BACK to the lower court once they had clarified immunity. Trump's actions during the 2020 election were determined to be on the "outer perimeter" of his duties, the lower courts now must decide if he is immune to prosecution for those actions or not.

The piece that is missing from your post is that trying unofficial acts has become next to impossible based on Supreme court guidance. Therefore, it is as if the president has immunity from all acts.

This SOTC ruling has changed my voting decision. I will now vote for Biden even though I’m not happy with him.

The president has immunity from civil suits and from criminal prosecution. Only Congress can impeach and remove a president: the House of Representatives can impeach with a simple majority vote, and the Senate can convict and remove with a two-thirds majority vote. And trump has been impeached twice but was never found guilty.
