I mean, the point kind of is the mentally ill minority who seem to believe that BREATHING inside without a mask is akin to raw-dogging a stranger. It’s very hard to believe we gave these types any sort of influence during covid. |

Because the drugs which are successful in currently treating severe Covid are repurposed HIV drugs. Covid attacks the immune system and then sometimes stays there. So, yeah, the consequences of not getting the vaccine and not wearing a quality mask inside during during outbreaks is somewhat like rawdogging strangers, depending on your bodies tendency to develop an autoimmune disease. |

Exactly. I plan on getting the new booster but I have to build my schedule around it. It's not the worst thing in the world and actually having COVID was much worse but getting the shot guarantees I have to have the next day to sleep half the day away. |

Thank you for doing the hard thing. I know people who can't get the new vax, and friends with babies (who aren't eligible). This is a "moms and dads" forum that often neglects to even consider the impact on children. Thank you for giving a damn. |

Try the Novavax shot. It isn't mRNA-based, and my understanding from the people I know who got it is that side effects were much less than the Pfizer/Moderna vaccines. |

By “they,” I mean the Covid cautious brigade on X/Twitter. I’m completely fascinated by these people because someone I know in real life has gotten sucked in and has essentially blown up her life and cut off all friends and family in the name of staying “safe.” Nutters for sure. But there are way more than 4-5 of them. |
