I had COVID at the start of October so it's coming up on 3 months next week. At that point, I can get the booster right? The main thing about the COVID boosters is that they do make me sick the next day (and my arm is sore for a full week) so to get one almost requires me to build my schedule around it.
I get nasty vax reactions, too. And then I think "If the reaction to the shot is all of this, how bad would it be to actually get the disease?" Worth it, IMO. And before some anti-vax poster jumps in: I get nasty reactions to flu shots (which I get), and tetanus shots (which leave my arm immobile for days, and I still get those, too).
Exactly. I plan on getting the new booster but I have to build my schedule around it. It's not the worst thing in the world and actually having COVID was much worse but getting the shot guarantees I have to have the next day to sleep half the day away.
Try the Novavax shot. It isn't mRNA-based, and my understanding from the people I know who got it is that side effects were much less than the Pfizer/Moderna vaccines.
