I don't understand Republican support for this war.
- The Strait of Hormuz is now firmly under the control of Iran. We essentially gifted Tehran a brand new Panama/Suez canal. Iran will earn hundreds of billions from newly imposed fees. - The Iranian regime is now more extreme than it was two months ago. - Iran will use its more than 1000 lbs of enriched uranium and fully commit to nuclear weapons. |
From this article “ In response to an NPR request, a Navy spokesman acknowledged that 1,500 sailors, their families and several hundred pets were relocated back to the U.S. from NSA Bahrain. Sailors have been arriving in Norfolk, Va., home to the world's biggest naval base, since at least the middle of March. Several groups that provide aid to military personnel say that the sailors arrived with very little. A call went out to community groups, asking for basic supplies like hygiene products. "The base was asking for donations of toiletries and different things for the sailors coming back, because they were coming back with nothing," said Derrick Johnson, commander of American Legion Post 327 in Norfolk. The post hosted a spaghetti dinner for some of the sailors, said Keith Shanesy, one of the post's vice commanders. "They literally told them, 'Get what you can get in the backpack. You've got to go,'" he said. "They came with no uniforms, nothing. The three we met first, they came with the clothes on their back, what they could fit in that backpack." That is insane, and they’re not able to give the families any information about their cars or big household goods. They weren’t going to allow pets. I wonder what else we aren’t being told. |
Do republicans even exist? Seems like just RINO cult members that have completely abandoned what used to be the Republican Party. |
Succinctly on point. The US is regionally/reputationally weaker, and Iran stronger as a result of this war. |

France is holding back anymore. Former PM calls Trump a lunatic who is trying to starve the world. He is urging the entire world to turn against the US. It is ugly out there, people.

Sure you're right, LOSER.

The time to do something about this was Election Day 2024. Too late now. Elections have consequences. |
Apparently this little Trump adventure is interrupting fertilizer shipments to grow food. Should get interesting in the future. |
All of this and especially the last part. The lesson learned is that the US won't attack you if you already have nuclear weapons like North Korea. |
|
I am genuinely concerned they will drop a nuke because they are being outsmarted at every turn and can’t take the humiliation.

I share your concern. I think Trump and Hegseth won't be able to find a (face-saving) way out. The non-catastrophic option is 25A. |
This is what those of us with functioning brains knew would happen when trump was elected. I wonder if one of the reasons trump is purging his cabinet is fear of them invoking the 25th amendment. |
