I think actually it's conservatives who are obsessed with Lena Dunham.

She's a creator of content that some people (like me) really like and some people really hate - and she herself seems pretty awful. I can't speak for all white liberals, but I'd say most of us aren't obsessed with her. Some of us like some of her work, and her as a phenomenon - a wunderkind - is also kind of interesting.
