Has anyone tried the #FWTFL Program?

Faster Way to Fat Loss? I usually do not do gimmicky diets, but need some nutrition guidance and structure. I'm in pretty good shape but need to get rid of some pesky fat.

looks like a typical intermittent fasting program, and there are a million threads on IF on this board. are you selling this?

Ugh a friend from college falls for all these scams. She sells them for awhile and then moves on to the next thing. These diet fads appeal to the disordered eating habits she has always had.

so not worth it. I did one round and maybe lost 2 pounds. When I expressed frustration, I was told that I needed toto sign up again. They start off telling you it is just food and exercise, but then they start incorporating things that are ridiculous like juice fast. The owner gets a kickback for everything and she encourages people to try to sell it to their friends. It is definitely an MLM. My money would have been better spent on a real trainer.

It is really disordered eating and I never would have done it if my daughters were old enough to realize what was going on.

Damn. I signed up 2 weeks ago & all week had the sinking feeling I was wasting my money. Even the workouts seem really pathetcally 'homemade'.

For what it’s worth, I’m doing it right now and I actually like it. I needed something with structure to try to lose the baby weight, and this program has a clear set of rules. The fasting is no big deal for me, because I rarely eat breakfast anyway.

I am on my second round and I like it. This is the first weight loss program I've ever done but I needed some structure as I was trying lose the baby weight from my second (which I kept one for almost two years so calling it "baby weight" is a bit generous...)

It's not a miracle by any means but I lost all the weight I gained with my second kid during the first round and am getting close to my pre-any baby weight during this round. Granted, I didn't have a ton to lose--about 7 lbs in all but I was trying to track calories and working out a ton at Orange Theory, Pure Barre, Barre3 and running and nothing was working. When my Orange Theory class pack ran out I decided to put the money I would've spent on another package on FWTFL.

I actually love the "homemade" workouts because I just do them from home and I'm saving a ton of time. Agree that they're not super professional but I think they're effective.

I was totally wary of the whole MLM-iness of it all and I still am. I don't do any other MLMs--I find them weird and icky. I don't share anything about the program on social media and am certainly not signing up to be a coach. So I get that. But I like having a coach I can direct questions to and love the accountability of a group. I imagine you could get the same thing from Weight Watchers or something like that but I've never tried. The owner does some light promotion of her cookbook and other things like that but it's easy enough to avoid it. And there's no juice fast, though there are two 24-hour fasts during the 6 week program (so no food but no mandate for certain juices or anything that you have to buy).

I also like that you do get to eat a good amount of food. I'm 5'3" and now about 120 lbs and eat 1600+ calories on my regular macro days (3 days), 1500 on low carb days (2 days), and 1250+ on low macro days (2 days). I really like to eat and I don't feel deprived other than on the two low macro days, which are admittedly hard. I'm now totally used to the intermittent fasting aspect and plan on continuing that part after the program ends.

All this tells me is the unfairness of life. I’m 5’9” and I gain if I eat over 1200 cal a day.

I used to say this (I’m 5’8). I started carb cycling plus doing regular cardio and weight lifting. Maybe you need to shop around methods. I happen to use the Transform app (it’s not free) but try our other programs.

I am the poster from 4/26 18:02 and to the 5'9" respondent on 1,200 calories a day, FWTFL would say you definitely need to eat more--that you need to rev up your metabolism to see the results from exercising. Lots of people in my group have found success with this (I was already eating a decent amount of calories before). Might not work but could be worth a shot? If not through FWTFL then through another macro-counting program. Maybe contact a nutritionist?

Total MLM. I followed the owner on social media for a while and had to stop b/c she’s so clearly a MLM.

Save your money

This. And she’s getting worse. You can do this IF and carb cycling without paying for her big house she fills with Homegoods crap.

I’m doing the program right now and it’s a complete waste of money. Supposedly there is a prep week so you can get ready but I still had no idea what I was supposed to do come day 1. They pretty much just tell you to use MyFitnessPal and modify your macros every day which is confusing. The workouts are anything you can find on Pinterest or YouTube. After expressing frustration at the lack of a meal plan or even suggestions I was just told to sign up again.. SMH.. silly me for thinking there was anything to this. There’s so much information on IF out there I really don’t know what value this program brings besides sucking money from people that are just trying to look for a real plan with real support. Total joke.
