I agree. The amount of vitriol directed at parents who have decided that masking is not necessary or appropriate for their child is appalling. I am saddened to see such hateful comments. |
PP - which school is your student in? We were hoping to enroll DD in a Diocese school this summer, but I"m not sure what the situation is among parents right now. Are you in Arlington? |
There is a lot of ugliness coming from unmasked families in this tread. |
Which statements do you find particularly ugly? I feel like more of the vitriol has been coming from the pro-maskers toward those that support the diocese’s decision. I admittedly haven’t read the entire thread though. |
Diocese of Richmond is mask Optional. Because they’re sane and not neurotic weirdos For the love of God. If you want your kid masked, then go to Public school. Stop trying to have your cake and eat it too. At Catholic schools, we want it optional. It’s the parents choice. They are children. Shame on any parent putting a mask on their innocent child. You’re a bad mom. There, I said it |
Yeah the same Vatican that hides behind walls and goes around telling nations that they can’t protect their borders because they need to build bridges not walls? That Vatican? Last time I checked, Francis was not Jesus. By all means wear a diaper on your face if you think it’s doing anything. Two years into this stupid cloth mask nonsense for a virus that is barely more than the flu and which said masks don’t do anything anyway. Talk about going mad. Did you inject yourself with the Big Pharma experimental mRNA “vaccine” too, the one that doesn’t stop you from getting or spreading COVID? Again, talk about going mad … Wear a mask if you want. Inject your kids with experimental pharmaceutical products if you want. Stop trying to FORCE other parents to make the same choices as you |
"amount of vitriol directed at parents who have decided that masking is not necessary or appropriate for their child." well maybe because it shows a blatant disregard for the health and safety of fellow students and families who are doing what they're supposed to be doing during a pandemic. |
Some do, some don’t. Our principal polled the parent community this summer. The majority of families wanted masks to be required, by a 2 to 1 ratio. I wish the Youngkin order had left it up to the schools. I think the order as it is, was premature considering we’re still dealing with the omicron wave. It would have most likely been more appropriate over the summer, or probably even in the spring. The timing was way off. |
If low IQ parents saw how their little snowflake improperly wore and fidgeted with their mask all day they would realize that masks are nothing more than virtue signalling at this point. Turn off CNN and all your irrational fears go away. |
But how else can we satisfy our urge to be little totalitarian control freaks and punish those Trump voters who don’t want to force their kids to walk around with stupid clothe masks over the faces? How else can we force them to accept the dictates from leftish establishment politicians? Will no one think of us petty little leftists? |
|
More vitriol-
You know that for over a year every child has been forced to walk around with a stupid, pointless piece of cloth over their faces to satisfy the superstitions of a small group of control freaks, right? |
|
And more -
Goodbye. You have plenty of other schools to choose from that to not adhere to the teachings of Christ and the Church. Enjoy transgender story hour. Don’t forget your cloth mask and tinfoil hat. |
It would help your position if you would speak more respectfully. It’s disingenuous to say Covid is “barely more than the flu”. I went to a funeral for the mother of a young child in our school community just a few weeks ago. There are arguments to be made about the costs vs benefits of masking. I’d prefer to hear the rational ones. |

And more-
lol you mean the Big Pharma shots that don’t work? Yeah let’s force everyone to get injected by some experimental Big Pharma product that neither prevents you from getting COVID nor prevents you from spreading COVID. Yeah, that surely will solve this problem. COVID is going to be with us for the foreseeable future and you’re all just going to have to learn to live with it. Your stupid “vaccine” won’t stop it; your Etsy masks and even your N95 masks won’t stop it; it’s going to be a minimal increase in the every risks we each take every day to live a normal life—automobile accidents, armed robberies, viral meningitis, tragic skiing accidents, pool drownings, etc. You aren’t going to force a “vaccine” into my kids any more than you’re going to force them to live behind a mask for their entire lives to satisfy your paranoia. Boomers — every time I think they can’t possibly be any more selfish and narcissistic, they surprise me. |
I posted some examples above. There is a lot more but I have some things to do |
