When is he going to publicly shame his son-in-law's company for the conditions of its derelict rat-infested apartments? |
Know how you feel. I grew up in Baltimore but it was clear that I would never be able to live there as an adult. My parents hung on because they were very active in their Catholic Church doing outreach programs. They, their church, and house were criminalized so much that they gave up after the 2015 looting and moved near us. My mother actually had to be treated for PTSD because she couldn’t let down her guard. They were the last of our family to flee, and we only return to family graves. |
So, you just ignored what I wrote? Gaslighting it is, I guess. Cummings is FAMIlLY. He’s earned a right to say things about and to Baltimore that Trump has NOT. Also, he didn’t say no humans would live there. Tone and intent matter, Biff. |
That is such BS. You remind me of someone who tells an off-color Irish joke and says, "But I can tell that because I'm Irish." Anyone can see the blight in portions of Baltimore. The woman who started this discussion with her videos lives in the area and she was excoriated because she dared to shine the light on the issues. Also, Trump said that no human would WANT to live there. I bet if you ask the residents there - they would say they have no choice, but if they did, they wouldn't want to live in the conditions they have to tolerate. And, Cummings did say the residents were walking around like "zombies." |
Okay, Biff. |
Typical. Can't debate the merits of an argument, so you resort to name calling. |
this is DCUM what do you expect actual debate lolz |
+1 all about Cummings. Milwaukee and Memphis and St. Louis have higher crime rates than Baltimore, why doesn’t Trump fixate on them? |
Well, sure. But the topic was Baltimore. Are you saying anytime someone brings up a rat-infested city, they must also list the rural towns that also have rats? Because you do realize that’s idiotic, right? |
The utter stupidity and manufactured outrage is completely exhausting.
|
Exactly. To politely pretend everything is just fine in Baltimore is absurd. I’m glad Trump called out the horrible conditions there and I hope it brings about real change. That would be great. |
Why won't ANYONE answer the obvious question of why Trump isn't calling out Kushner for the dilapidated state of his Baltimore properties? Do you think Trump would ever tell Kushner straight up: dude, your apartments are DISGUSTING and NO HUMAN would ever want to live in them? |
You'd be more believable if you and Trump were also calling out the horrible conditions in rural red America and calling the representatives of those areas to task "to bring about real change." I defy you to find Trump ever calling parts of rural Appalachia disgusting shitholes. |
Tell us WHY the "topic was Baltimore." Go ahead. I'll wait. |
wrong. |
