Comey is out!

Trump was going to fire him anyway.

"President Trump on Thursday cited the FBI’s investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election in explaining his decision to fire Director James Comey.

“Regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey,” Trump said during an interview on "NBC Nightly News," insisting "there was no good time to do it."

“And in fact, when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story,’” Trump continued."

I think both things can be true.

I think you need to stop ascribing positive rationalizations to a crazy criminal. What'd he say? Something like, "I fired him. I was always going to fire him."

When you condemn Trump for saying he is not a target, please recall that Hillary said the same thing over and over and over. So, is Trump a target? Haven't seen any evidence that he is--except for the media.

Lynch even demanded that Comey refer to it as a "matter" not an "investigation".

Do you really think that Lynch ever intended to prosecute Hillary--she couldn't even tolerate an "investigation".......she wouldn't recuse herself.

So, do I like Trump's behavior? NO. Is it any different from Hillary's behavior? It's not any worse.

This is what I've been saying about HRC, too, and I'm not a fan. I'm a former R; couldn't stand the Clintons in the 90's. But, to Trumpsters, Trump gets a pass for cheating, lying, etc.., but her? She's called every name in the book, and Trumpsters wanted to "lock her up". Maybe she was right. Maybe those who voted for Trump because they thought HRC was a cheat and liar are sexist.

Only Trump could beat Hillary. The rest didn't know how to play half as dirty as Hillary.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the dirtiest of them all? 45!

Hillary. Her crimes shall be reexamined.

Trump’s anger reached a boiling point when Comey refused to preview for top Trump aides his planned testimony before a Senate panel last week. From Reuters’ Steve Holland and Jeff Mason: “Trump, Sessions and Rosenstein had wanted a heads-up from Comey about what he would say at a May 3 hearing about his handling of an investigation into [Clinton's] use of a private email server. When Comey refused, Trump and his aides considered that an act of insubordination … A former Trump adviser said Trump was also angry because Comey had never offered a public exoneration of Trump in the FBI probe into contacts between the U.S. ambassador to Russia, Sergei Kislyak, and Trump campaign advisers last year.” One adviser said Comey’s Senate testimony on Clinton reinforced in Trump’s mind that “Comey was against him.” "He regretted what he did to Hillary but not what he did to Trump," A former adviser added.

It's all about Trump wanting loyalists to protect him. Comey was not beholden to Trump, so Trump can't guarantee his loyalty. Trump sees that as a threat.

This so-called POTUS is truly frightening. He becomes more of a threat to this country everyday he is in office. He truly wants to run that office like his personal family owned business. God help us all. You Trumpsters have truly screwed us.

It is what happens when we give the American voters a choice between two unpalatable choices. Hillary should never have been the nominee of the Democratic party. I don't blame just the Trump voters ....... I think we bear some responsibility for nominating a disastrous candidate.

Go eff yourself. No, we're not doing this. We have the Republican candidate who WORKED WITH RUSSIA TO GET ELECTED. Game over. The GOP sucks. It is the treason party.

Go eff YOURself. That's what you should be doing for nominating a person who lost to this guy! Keep on spouting assumptions as facts. It's a good excuse in the meantime. Add it to the pile of 'em. The thinking amongst us will wait until there is proof.

You're still a quisling, GOPtard.

This is the only response to my question, and it's this? My explanation makes sense, so clearly I'm barking up the wrong tree. Yeah, that's what I thought. Put your fingers back in your ears.

Active investigation, and you get rid of the guy in charge. Definitely obstruction of justice. That in and of itself is a crime.

WASHINGTON—In the weeks before President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, a federal investigation into potential collusion between Trump associates and the Russian government was heating up, as Mr. Comey became increasingly occupied with the probe.

Mr. Comey started receiving daily instead of weekly updates on the investigation, beginning at least three weeks ago, according to people with knowledge of the matter and the progress of the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe. Mr. Comey was concerned by information showing possible evidence of collusion, according to these people.

Yeah, that's - ahem - kind of a bombshell. Seriously. But how would it have traveled to Trump? It's not like Comey was keeping Trump apprised of these activities.

I'm sure there was some Trump loyalist in the FBI more than willing to leak info to the President.

Your explanation makes zero sense. You think Rosenstein was willing to talk trash about Comey like some 20 year old intern here from Montana? In this climate?

Trump is losing his effing mind. "Laughing up their sleeves"? He invented the phrase "priming the pump"? Have you read his interview transcripts? His brain is turning to mush and you (and the media; don't worry, you're not alone!) kept trying to make his actions make sense.

Would overseas intel kindly just start sharing what they have? With the public, I mean. Share it with the internet. I know Five Eyes can't; Estonia? Germany? France? Someone?

The problem is that the Acting Director has since testified that firing Comey will not impede the investigation.
