+1. I’m from NC. Very gerrymandered. Republicans have both legislative bodies and the Lt. Gov is full on MAGA. Under some weird rule, the Governor steps over the line to SC and the Lt. Governor gets his power. He wanders outside NC and abortion is banned. Not how to win the state. He’d be a great pick. Logistically, it won’t work. Too bad, because I like him. |
Kelly's voting record ties him to Biden/Harris disaster. He even voted that perjury is not an impeachable offense. |
Citation please? |
Any others? Cooper? |
How about one of the two GA senators? Probably not Warnock this time around, so the other guy? Is he ready? |
JD Vance. |
Well yeah— that’s the Ohio ballot deadline. |
That name was T-V ticket's worst fear. They can now sigh of relief. |
Asked and answered. He leave the state to campaign, NC loses the right to abortion. That’s a problem for NC and a problem for Harris to be responsible for it happening. |
Ossoff. He’s good. Be only been elected a hot second. |
help where? In Virginia? maybe have someone that will help you carry a swing state. |
No. Andy Beshear, a man who can win a deep red state and can carry a lot of weight in the mid-west is still a huge danger to the T-V ticket. He is a Democratic governor in one of the reddest states of the nation, a state that repeatedly sent Mitch McConnell to the Capitol, and in his second term, he still holds a near 70% popularity rating. And he won an easy reelection in that deep red state. He knows very well, how to talk to moderates and conservatives so that they understand him and support him in what he is doing. He has a liberal agenda, but still makes those across the aisle agree with him. He will be great on the campaign trail. He is nowhere near as controversial as Shapiro. While I like Shapiro, he speaks to the liberals and would not be great at tipping the 9% undecided and the moderates back to the Democratic ticket. Beshear would be much better at that. |
Plus— and I love Tim Kaine and think he is great in VA and will 100% vote for him in November— Kaine didn’t connect. He didn’t have the necessary charisma. And all I remember from his debate with Pence was the eyebrows. VA likes its solid boring politicians who deliver business friendly, but moderately liberal social stuff. Kaine and Warner do that. They tour the state and deliver moderate things that make life better. They aren’t superstars and don’t grandstand. They work hard and get sh*t done. And that’s just fine with me. But neither is a rock star. Kaine didn’t hurt HRC. But, he also didn’t help. Too unassuming. |
Yes, love him as my senator, but he was boring on a national stage. He also couldn't broaden his experience to a national vision. Everything he talked about was Virginia. |
It is unfortunate he'd be a good pick but it's more important he stays in NC |
