Alito displayed a “stop the steal” symbol at his home

People are afraid to touch it but this is the same reason Confederate symbols were attacked. Now the left has come for the spirit of ‘76, thinking that it was going to stop with the Confederacy. They are coming for ALL of it.

Marxism has to divorce the target population from their shared heritage in order to create a new societal foundation untethered from the limiting constitutional framework our country was founded on.

And in former Iron Curtain countries thank god they still have the hammer & sickle and statues of Lenin everywhere, right?

RIGHT?

It worked extraordinary well until Newt Gingrich and the GOP corruption spiralled.

Agreed. I have said this on other threads. GOP under Gingrich started down this path of demonizing Democrats as enemies instead of colleagues with different opinions. The painted compromise as weakness and defeat instead of the WHOLE PURPOSE OF CONGRESS.

You don't like the country right now? Tell the GOP to learn how to govern again instead of playing at it.

This this this!

Wow, so “only in rare settings” doesn’t apply to the unprecedented misuse of the US flag at the house of a US Supreme Court justice.

Roberts is spineless. If he honestly believes Alito is not displaying partisanship unbecoming a SCOTUS Justice, he should have the courage to explain it in person.

This sets precedent for entirely de-legitimizing SCOTUS. They're now publicly for hire given they individually police themselves.

Yes he is. He is presiding over the demise of an important institution. He should be ashamed.

Not spineless. He’s complicit. Part of the problem

This is so absurd. So if one of them had a child presenting a case at the court, they could just choose not to recuse themself? This is a standard that basically says there is no such thing as conflict of interest.

I wish they would extend this to all judges, all federal contractors etc. After all, all men are created equal before the law. If deciding for yourself is good enough for the supreme court, it should be for the rest of us as well.

Yes, he’s cowering.

“I am with you so far, Justice Alito. I applaud your recognition of a woman’s right to oversee her own flags on her own property without the influence or governance of a man.
“My wife’s reasons for flying the flag are not relevant for present purposes,” he wrote.
I’m glad you made this point, Justice Alito. Sometimes women have deeply personal reasons for needing to fly a flag, and those reasons are not our, nor the government’s, business.
“My wife is a private citizen.”
Absolutely! She is a private citizen! Here and now, I stand with Justice Samuel Alito in being horrified that lawmakers would presume to involve themselves in decisions that should be made between a woman and her flag-maker.”

Wonder if an interesting flag is flying at any of the residences this evening.

What are the odds that two SCOTUS justices would have batsht crazy, traitorous spouses?

What is the odds that men of a certain age have become senile and can no longer correctly estimate what lies people will believe? What they can get away with? How others view them?
