We don't defend Hunter at all. He's an addict, and he should not have bought a gun and lied on his application about his drug addiction.
What we are unhappy about is the selective prosecution of Hunter because of who his father is. Anyone else facing the same charges would get a slap on the wrist, a little rehab, a small fine. Hunter was targeted by the GOP because he was vulnerable. I didn't hear any complaining about the "weaponized" Federal justice system (the Feds indicted Hunter) from the GOP. I guess it's only "weaponized" when it's indicting a real criminal, their convicted felon, bloated, adderal-addicted, dementia-riddled orange Adonis!
