2027 Girls Lacrosse

Will there be two MCE 2027? Do they have enough girls for two teams like an A and B or will it just be the one? Not trolling, just trying to get info from the outside.

B teams in high school should be avoided. As the girls get older they start dropping as most are not playing in college and their motivation wanes. Mce and prides 25 b teams are no more.

For 2027s (since this is a 2027 thread), according to the latest US Club Lax rankings, in the immediate DC metro it goes Capital Blue (17), Capital Orange (60), and then Stars Light Blue (72). Not rec level for Stars, but I also get that you’re just throwing grenades because it’s fun for you for some reason.

Orange has had a rough summer so would not be surprised if there is some major movement. Always at least a little movement on Blue but not much, and they have had a solid summer so most of the movemenr would be the bottom of the roster. I do wonder what the movement between Orange and Stars will be.

Agreed. Stars has some pretty good players so could see a few taking some Orange spots. I’ve heard Blue has a few on the bottom that could be replaced if there is some talent out there that could step up.

While the team is not doing that great, they do a handful of pretty good girls. We have been impressed with the coaching. The parents and girls are nice. Overall we have been happy with the experience other than maybe losing too often. If they get a few more good girls they could be competitive- obviously not with the top teams.

MCE is owned by Stars but they have two separate teams, one in Virginia that is called Stars and one in Montgomery County call MCE Stars. You pay dues through Stars but the coaching, practices and college recruiting appears to be pretty independent.

Thank you for weighing in with personal experience. One more question: are you referring to the Carolina or Midnight team? Do you know if they are both full now, or does one have more space than another?
