I don't know personally but I hope they post it here. When did they do them last year? On another thread, an FCV poster said they only add to their roster via recruitment, but I don't know if that's really true. |

I think they will wait until January. The only one I know of doing fall ID sessions is Spirit MD. |

I'm not sure if this poster is being serious or sarcastic. Hopefully everyone realizes that this was not the top bracket. I am more impressed by Loudoun 07s performance in WAGS top bracket (1-0 loss in finals). What happened in WAGS U13 top bracket (FCV lost to Loudoun in semi-final? This was FCV DA team correct?) |

What happened was clearly the best Loudoun players went to FCV and Loudoun won’t be able to keep their talent for ECNL now.

Guys please, I think there is room for both programs. I doubt either FCV or Loudoun has cornered ALL the talent. There is enough for both.

Of course you cannot compare WAGS to Discovery Cup. WAGS is the biggest fall soccer event on the East Coast. FCV should really have done WAGS again to get any respect.
Of course the top players and parents know this. For the 07s the top option is clearly ECNL. Those that cannot make FCV or McLean ECNL will take a look at the DAs. Good luck at ID sessions. Keep recruiting! |

FCV has strong teams at every age group. They have a long track record of success that people trust. No amount of posturing here changes that. |

It is a little silly to demean Discovery Cup and teams that chose it over WAGs tournament. McLean 07 team, which beat Loudoun 07 team, finished last in its group in the Discovery Cup's top bracket. One could make an argument that Discovery Cups top bracket was much stronger than WAGs top bracket in 07 age group. |

Except it appears that FCV lost a major talent pipeline in Loudoun Soccer Club. FCVs 06 DA team losing to FCV demonstrates that Loudoun retained more than enough players to not only beat FCV but other top programs in the east. Loudoun’s 07’s also had very strong results against much stiffer competition than the second bracket in Discovery Cup provided. No amount of looking back at past success will change the facts now. The Barbarians are at the Gate and the old FCV Empire is showing some big cracks. |

That argument could be made but then again, FCV wasn’t in the top bracket at Discovery Cup. |

| You all can keep up with the catty club v club BS, meanwhile TopHat and PA teams are driving home with the top bracket trophies from the tournaments in our backyard. Just be glad the NJ teams didn't show up. The quality of play in this area is not good. The play from some of our so-called 'top programs' is cringeworthy. |
