You are probably right. Having seen him in action though, I would have doubts if he were at all involved at the DA level. |
Actually, pick it up today. Article is there in the Post. Sounds like he’s being accused of being a hard ass and playing favorites. This is not that unusual across many clubs. Unfortunately, this particular kid could not handle it. Either way, not great press for the Spirit nor for FCV, especially in today’s uber-sensitive and uber-competitive environment. And no, he was not involved much with DA at all at FCV. He was TD of all things non-DA there. But, still hurts their brand a bit. |

Washington Post article. Many of the comments support the coach.

FCV 06 tied Tophat so not all teams lost |
Well, they can have ice cream but no sprinkles. |
| Looks like FCV played Arlington last week and 04/05 tied and 06 lost to Arlington . Surprised by those results, maybe I should check Arlington out. Any commentary on the games? |
Yes - go check out Arlington. You wouldn't want to put your kid on a team that has lost a game. |
| The issue with FCV is not losing games. It’s the terrible club dog eat dog atmosphere. They are like the Cobra Kai of local youth soccer. Winning is the only thing that matters and kids and parents fight over everything. Sweep the leg Johnny! |
+1 Lol. Great analogy |
Yes, good analogy. The culture there is rotting, slowly, but with increasing pace. Wax on, wax off. |
| How are the 05 parents behaving? |
|
Probably at least as good as parents in this forum. |
Parents were quiet. It was a bizarre game. It seemed like everyone just gave up after 2nd half - maybe because it was the first warm game of the season? |
Lol are you kidding? FCV has it easy on this forum |
