Just be glad the NJ teams didn't show up. The quality of play in this area is not good. The play from some of our so-called 'top programs' is cringeworthy.

That’s right! Let’s stop this bickering and pull together for NoVA PRIDE!

It is true that they were in the second highest bracket, but their bracket had strong teams, some of which were ranked higher than the team that won WAGs top bracket. Once again, there is not need to try do diminish their win by gushing over a runner up in a WAGs tournament.

A runner up who not only has FCV never beaten but who also beat top ranked teams in a Top Bracket in the Top Tournament.

And how did FCVs 06’s do against a team who’s supposedly best players went to FCV?

Does your coach actually sit around and talk to the parents about how good or bad other teams are and how tough their schedule is?

Only pointing out facts. Sorry if your coach told you that winning the second bracket in a second tournament against lower ranked teams is an accomplishment. But you might want to put the tourney in perspective if you and your fellow parents just think that Loudoun players are going to flock to an inferior FCV team this spring.

I have no dog in your fight. BUT - Do you think those parents want more competition for DA spots next year? Not thinking this through, maybe?

You have to use national ranking because teams are from different states. In any event, rankings are not perfect. Loudoun's team that had 15K ranking points lost to a team that only had 2K ranking points in the final. That low ranked team turned out to the best team in WAGs top bracket.

And the team that won will move up in ranking points because they beat a higher ranked team. What higher ranked team has FCV played and beaten?

They beat a higher ranked team in the final and they will also move up in rankings after winning the tournament.

Well, moving up the rankings was why you avoided WAGS to begin with. Congrats on not losing to Loudoun again.

FCV 06 DA losing to Loudoun ECNL is shocking. I'm sure some of the former Loudoun parents are not happy about that one.
Anonymous
Now that Loudoun 06 is better than FCV 06 and Loudoun 07 is better than FCV 07, nobody should be surprised that the best players will pick ECNL over DA next year in this area.
