And your little Mia will lose her starting spot.....

What kind of gaslighting is your coach doing ?

FCV opponent state ranks in Discovery Cup:
19
18
11
10

Loudoun opponent ranks in WAGS:
1
2
7
5

You do know those rankings are meaningless, don't you?

When exactly did FCV 06 DA play Loudoun 06 ECNL? What in the world are you talking about?

Loudoun played FCV in WAGs tournament. FCV won its group and Loudoun finished second, but made it to the playoffs as a wild card. It was a 1-0 win and probably against the run of play, since the PP referreed to it as "shocking."

The score originally showed us 5-4...sounds like a shootout.

WAGs website indicates 1-0 score.

So it's a close game against 2 younger teams. Not quite the upset victory being touted.

I know it stings for you. That’s karma coming back at you for being such a tool.

Ok, let’s try again.

FCV 07 Opponent National Rankings:
650. LTSC, FCV won 2-0
1539. Bethesda Academy White, FCV Won 5-0
877. Deep Run, FCV won 6-2
388. Quick Strike, Tied 2-2

Loudoun 07 opponents National Rankings:
43. Top Hat, Loudoun lost 1-0
33. Cincinnati, Loudoun won 2-0
873. Penne United, Loudoun won 5-0
677. Baltimore Celtic, Loudoun won 3-0
136. Keystone, Loudoun won 2-0

The second bracket at Discovery Cup is not the same as the top bracket at WAGS.

Are you using got soccer or some other rankings? In got soccer rankings, Top Hat is not in top 100 got soccer rankings nationally. It looks like you may have used regional instead of national rankings for some of Loudoun's opponents, which artificially inflates the rankings.

Using Youth Soccer Rankings:
https://youthsoccerrankings.us/team.html?teamId=1930976

The WAGs finals game has not been reported in Youth Soccer Rankings yet.

But for kicks:
Loudoun's 07 National rank is 50.
FCV's 07 National Rank is 684.

The situation between FCV and Loudoun with the 07s is not some mystery - not to them. The players and parents know each other well and are friendly. They have played futsal and super Y together as teammates together. They train together in the off season. So some of this is ribbing each other. Two of the Loudoun 06s came from FCV a few years ago. It’s a friendly but serious rivalry. It is true that Loudoun has beaten FCV 22-1 over three games but the last game was 2-1 so FCV has caught up some. Who knows maybe these girls will play together in the future. They would make one hell of a team together. Nobody would argue that.

That's great insight. Thank you for sharing that. So much on this forum gets blown out of proportion by people overreacting to something they see and then they respond agressively. It turns into a terrible back and forth and just escalates into a truly nasty exchange.

Thank you again for that. So this is a friendly "poke" back and forth. Friendly serious competition can be healthy. Isn't that part of the true spirit of competitive sports after all? It's not always something ugly and vicious.

Yes. And I meant to say two 07s came from FCV not 06s. It’s friendly but very competitive. I guarantee us 07s parents are laughing out loud at every poke back and forth. But don’t assume that means either side will flock to the other next year. Parents are going to do what they think is best for their DD. Let’s be honest, we can’t go wrong either way.
