| ^very intelligent post, thanks |
| I think the sentiment is that it's a shame that the coaches approach have turned-off enough potential players that could make the BSC girls program into the top in the area. |
| Most of the players I know either left because they thought that development was sub par or parents did not like the club politics. |
I think tops in Maryland is just fine. Topping FC Virginia, McLean and everyone in Maryland would be alot to ask. |
| I think they were talking about Maryland United not Metro United |
| I know the oldest age group game against McLean didn’t go well for BSC |
Neither did the 2nd oldest and 3rd oldest when they played McLean 1st teams. Needed the mercy rule with those games. The 2nd time around McLean sent their 2nd teams or younger groups to play Bethesda. |
Posting "Friendly" results? LOL, what a joke! What kind of loser are you to keep track of "Friendly" games win/losses? You realize that is when bench players get the most playing time. FYI, games that actually matter, Fall 2020: BSC 05s lost at Bethesda TWICE...not a strong showing. BSC 06s won over Loudoun ECNL AND Maryland United at Bethesda Cup in November 2020. BSC 07s won over MD United in an ACTUAL game in ECNL play 3-0. 08s did not play MD United due to CoVid. Injured player is now cleared. Won a tournament last weekend playing up in 2007 bracket. BSC 09s beat MD United in ECNL League play 4-2. Can't wait for 2021! |
At the end of the day, I do hope you are right for the future and as I'm not banking on Bethesda teams continuing to fail. So I think that's something we can both agree on. If we don't understand WHY success across all age groups was elusive in the past, we will surely keep repeating the same mistakes if continue to do the same things. |
| Can anyone give feedback on what's going on with the Bethesda U18 ECNL team? Hearing players have been leaving that team for some reason. |
|
Kids already decided o college and not wanting to play a minute longer for KL?
|
KL is not the coach, but i would suspect that they already are locked in for college and they want to have some time off before college. |
No, that is not why they leave. They leave for other ECNL clubs because they want to develop, prepare for the next level and enjoy the game. Read between the lines and you will understand why BSC has issues. To be fair, these issues predate KL. |
| Happens at this age group for almost every team. And moco high schools are starting to play their regularly fall season right now. So some are dropping ecnl to play high school as they already know what they’re going to be doing after high school. |
No one is leaving any of KLs teams. You don’t know what your talking about. |
