VA public school lacrosse is very average- no reason to show how weak they are against the privates- every body already knows it.

Is there any former VHSL players playing on high level D1 programs? New to the high school scene and was curious if someone knew.

Independence is better than 32 of the 39 privates. But agree no match for the elite privates. Most of the privates are very average with exception of the top 10 that are able to attract and recruit the top talent.

Agree with both comments above. Would love to see a matchup with an All Regional Public players against a top 10 privates as more level playing field.

That would be a fun matchup to see. It would probably be close for a half to 3 quarters and then my guess is middie depth of the private program might start to show. Nonetheless, would be fun to see.

They have never played a private school during the regular season so how do you know they are better than 32 out of 39?

Robo 22 is better than Randles

Its so weird- I looked at the 6A All State team and didn't see a single Yorktown player on the first team at all. I wonder why that is:

Either YT DIDN'T have the best player in the state, OR everyone else just got it wrong?

The kid got calls from most of the top programs on 9/1 followed by multiple offers. I’ll take their coaches and recruiters evaluation skills over the lax brains of those posting on this board

First one to come to mind, there are probably a few others. The Maltz brothers were very successful as well.

As has been stated multiple times on these pages, the best Nova usually (not always) end up in private schools. The Yorktown attackmen and Robo pole are the next 2 in line. As a public school parent and fan, I'm rooting for both to have successful college careers. The amount of hate for kids by adults is disturbing.

#3 from YT is legit. As they say... worth the price of admission. He'll have an impact in VA HS lax this season and when he gets to Happy Valley as well. No doubt. His vision alone makes him one of the special ones who can hurt a defense (or defender) in multiple ways.

Battlefield G - Richmond
West Po M - Maryland
Yorktown D - Army

Couple more.

Westpo middle last year (who I think was vhsl player of the year) is starting now for Jacksonville. They took UNC and Rutgers to one goal games this year so JU is knocking at the door to getting to next level of D1. I'd count that as a top tier d1 program.
There's definitely d1 talent sprinkled all across the state through public programs. Doesn't really matter that much. Playing is college is playing in college so whatever the division, it's a huge accomplishment for any kid to be a college athlete.

John Schroter at UVA and Evan Boswell at Towson are both starters. Schroter was a top 50 overall player according to IL.
