VHSL Boys Lacrosse 2026 Season

Stab is best team in the state. They are on the cusp of being nationally ranked either this or next season I suspect. If Madison keep it within 10, that would be a good showing. PVi is probably the only team in state who might give them a good game.

Well you should get to know them. They will beat Madison by 10.

IDGAF because I don't have a kid at Madison, but that's a cute comment by you.

Me neither. Just trying to educate the uneducated.

Agreed.

STAB brought in the new coach a few year's back with the intention of being able to compete with the nation's best privates. They are well on their way to doing that with their recruiting.

Didn't Riverside beat STAB in Charlottesville? A 5A Virginia Public School?

Riverside a couple of years ago, when that UVA pole was with them, probably could have beaten that STAB team. Now though, as the other poster commented. The old Taft coach is at Stab and is recruiting kids from all over the country to rebuild that program. Anyway... this is mainly a public school thread so I won't belabor this point but it will be interesting to see how Madison does. With Madisons coach, he will find a way to slow it down to keep it close.

So, Riverside DID beat STAB. STAB did already have the old Taft coach and Riverside did NOT have the UVA Pole... Also, we all know how amazing the Madison coach is, but lets not forget that the Riverside coach be Gonzaga and STAB.... We will all be cheering the the Warhawks!

Riverside over Gonzaga a few years ago was epic. That's for sure.

Yorktown had the best player in VA last year and lost 9-20 to a mediocre MD private. Madison's gonna get blow out by Taft. They should've kept Landon on the schedule. At least they would've played a deep bench.

Madison isn't playing Taft.

Kudos to them for playing a top private. Most of the top va publics don't. Wish they would more to get a better read of how good some of these schools are - either way.

Who should we expect to be the top offensive players and defensive players in the state this year that will be nightmares for opposing teams?
