Pledging allegience to Hamas would certainly count.
Transferring money to "Hamas Inc." via wire transfer would count.
Saying "I think Hamas' actions are justified" seems like a grey area.

Saying I want a cease fire and think Israel is committing genocide doesn't necessarily equate to "supporting Hamas." Did Hamas even want a cease-fire? Certainly on their terms, but that applies to any belligerent. For all we know he might hate Hamas and prefer the PLO or some other organization.

What evidence is there that the student "supported Hamas?" Merely asking for a ceasefire or asking Columbia to divest, would not seem to qualify as "supporting terrorism."

How 'bout this (which I posted earlier)?

Khalil acted as a negotiator and sometimes spokesperson for CUAD (Columbia University Apartheid Divest).

CUAD explicitly and officially issued a statement supporting Hamas and 10/7. As quoted in the Times:

“We support liberation by any means necessary, including armed resistance,” the group, Columbia University Apartheid Divest, said in its statement revoking the apology.

The group marked the anniversary of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by distributing a newspaper with a headline that used Hamas’s name for it: “One Year Since Al-Aqsa Flood, Revolution Until Victory,” it read, over a picture of Hamas fighters breaching the security fence to Israel. And the group posted an essay calling the attack a “moral, military and political victory” and quoting Ismail Haniyeh, the assassinated former political leader of Hamas.

“The Palestinian resistance is moving their struggle to a new phase of escalation and it is our duty to meet them there,” the group wrote on Oct. 7 on Telegram. “It is our duty to fight for our freedom!”

Exactly. This guy wasn’t just walking around with a cardboard sign reading “Cease Fire.”

So, if a South African living in the US with a green card during the 80s supported Nelson Mandela and the ANC, should he have been deported back to South Africa? Mandela and the ANC were considered terrorists until 2008.

DP. Let's make the hypothetical match the current situation:

How 'bout if our imaginary South African issued a statement supporting murdering white South African civilians en masse and calling for the destruction of western civilization (as CUAD has done)?

Deportable?

Probably not if he's white.

Also, a lot of Irish Americans supported and even funded and provided arms to the IRA, a terrorist organization. They weren't deported either. Why? Cause they are white people.

You are comparing citizen rights to immigrant rights, which is not at all the same for good reason. And you are wrong. Sinn Fein leaders have been denied visas to the US due to their IRA ties, and denied green cards. It is our policy not to harbor violent extremists of any cause, and it’s a good one.

Green card immigrants for have rights and protection.
Uh oh, Trump goofed and now needs you apologists to smoke-and-mirrors for him

Can you try that again, in English this time? We don't speak transliterated Arabic here.

Green-card-holding permanent-resident immigrants have rights and protection, you ignorant idiot racist.

They are literally called "resident aliens".

Speech is no longer free.

If you want to live in denial because your cult leader denies it, you are free to do so, but don't expect the rest of us to ignore the fact that you're taking away our civil liberties and human rights.

Look at what any of the international human rights organizations say. The US is getting less free, according to almost all of them.

Bingo

Free speech does not include endorsing a pro terrorist organization. Especially on a college campus.

It used to.

Let's thank papa Trump. He always gives us the best things!

It never did. And if you support terrorist orgs then I hope you make your opinions publicly known.

Yes, they are the problem. Even so, a green card holder is not afforded the same rights as a citizen. Especially if they are considered a threat to our security. Antisemitism and supporting terrorism will not be tolerated.

The US President just said that a Jewish Senator is not Jewish.

Impeach him before chasing down a local immigrant.

But Zionists killing thousands of children will be tolerated? Supporting Netanyahu is worse than supporting terrorism, you guys are the same as Hitler, just different times.

I'm fine with Zionists killing endless numbers of terrorists. It's a shame some of those killed are merely Hamas human shields, but that's what happens when the population raises, encourages, and supports terrorists. No terrorists = no thousands of children used as human shields = no children killed.

Untrue. It was proven he distributed pro-Hamas literature.

Exactly. He should have read the part on his green card papers about violating his status. He will be deported based on the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Oh yeah
This?

Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the secretary of state has the right to revoke a green card or a visa for individuals who serve, or are adversarial to the foreign policy and the national security interests of the United States of America,"

Elon Musk should be denaturalizard for violating his visa, and then deported for his massively destructive acts against the USA

Funny thing, different behaviors result in different consequences.

There are no "civil liberties" or "human rights" to harass, intimidate, and threaten people whose politics you don't like, or whose religion you object to, or whose ethnic origins you find offensive. The pro-Hamas demonstrators act to prevent others from enjoying their lives in peace, advocating in an offensive and oftentimes criminal (trespassing, vandalism) manner on behalf of non-U.S. people and organizations, and against a U.S. ally.

There is no reason why the U.S. should tolerate such behavior from non-citizens who clearly demonstrate no interest in peaceful co-existence with their neighbors. Reminiscent of the Gazans, come to think of it.

There is no section of code under the immigration and nationality act that says people can be considered inadmissible or deportable for “offensive” or even hateful speech. Unless this conduct falls under the crimes of “moral turpitude” or affiliation with a designated terrorist organization, the act of protesting alone would not be a legal basis for deportation. The US has very expansive speech protections. Speech that most people would consider extremely offensive or disrespectful is largely protected by the constitution.

You’re a clown. If you knew anything at all about Zionism, you’d know that Zionists wrote the textbook and field manual on terrorism.

Too bad he has destroyed any chance of staying here long term. He can have his day in court. He can even win. And still the State department will never lift his provisional status and his green card will expire. He has made his own bed.

JVP is super controversial among the Jewish community. Calling them a Jewish group is misleading, as they don't actually speak for the majority of Jews.

It's merely an accurate statement. That you don't like the reality doesn't change it. He'll soon be hanging out with his Syrian buddies where his brand of agitation may, or may not, be more appreciated.
