Fairfax County Double Murder

He's not a public defender. Private practice and with good criminal experience. I mean, none of us can know what his fee structure is for this matter. I'd guess retainer/hourly rates. I don't see this as a case where anyone would forgo payment. Others may disagree but that is unusual and he's not really in that niche.

If/when Brendan's charged, we'll get the name of his lawyer.

The continuation of these public posts is so cringey and attention seeking. I’m surprised no one has advised BB’s family to just. stop. talking. At least this one doesn’t include the accusatory JR hashtag (yet).

Maybe from the Embassy at this point?

No, her mother was incensed that Brazil has not been helpful, was in the interview upthread yesterday. She is not paying for the lawyer either. Likely Brendan footing bill, kind of an investment, no?

Seems like she would need an immigration lawyer too with her visa expiring and trying to renew and change the type? At least for a consult.

I mean, I imagine the monitoring by and engagement of Brendan's family as fellow victims at this point may be painful. LE's baseball signals are pretty clear and Christine's own family are LE.

His mother, also a nutter, apple did not fall far from the tree there.

His name is on the jail website, and neither Brazil nor her family hired him, came up in mother's interview published Sunday or Monday and upthread here.

She seems to be re-posting Christine's brother's post, maybe she saves the JR tag for her own posts? Beyond attention seeking. My heart really goes out to the family, the loss was devastating, but all this too...

Super cringe. Especially how she makes it all about herself. “I. I. I. I. I.” She sounds like a narcissist. Guess that apple didn’t fall very far.

Yes, all discussed upthread last week.

If Brendan has a lawyer, we don't know who it is yet.

Brendan is likely paying for Juliana's lawyer because her mother said that the family was not and that Brazil was not helping, see her interview linked above from Sunday, published in US, Monday.

Seems like Daily Mail has its own version of the events. They should let LE know about it...

1) What evidence ties Brendan to the stabbing?

2) What was the nature of his injury and who inflicted it?

3) What LI policies existed on Christine and when were they purchased?

4) What evidence is there of conspiracy as an additional charge level?

Lurid details @ sex, photos, pop singers or bickering about GS levels or how their door unlocked passes the time but don't really seem to matter much in the end. Joe is basically a red herring and LE calls him a victim.

$ does go, at this stage, to how good a lawyer you can hire and how to keep Juliana in US after J-1 expires. Assuming she does not serve a sentence and then get deported, of course.

If I had to guess, he will be charged after the holidays. Her hearing date could always be slow walked if they think that might be fruitful.

Over under on Juliana becoming a witness for the state of VA?

Just going to jump on the back of this with, why does the au pair have access to the service or personal firearm?
