Yup. Guess the high powered LB offense didn’t show up.

Surprised by the Cosby /Freedom game.

LB is/was a fraud. Top heavy talent, but it’s over. Back to obscurity for the Bruins.

Difference between LB and Madison was ball possession. Madison had the possession for nearly 3/4ths of the game due to their FOGO and patience on offense. If TOP was equal, I’d imagine it would be a 1 goal game either way.

That’s good coaching. If you have a good FOGO then you possess the ball, tire the other defense out, and don’t give a bunch of D1 commits the chance to score. Hats off to the Warhawks.

Heat won't slow these teams down. Too much at stake and adrenaline will be pumping. With YT out LB takes it to the Rams for their first state title.

Whoops. This one didn't age well.

Madison had a great showing on both ends of the field. Defense was a brick wall. Some really cagey coaching, too. That 3-minute stick violation killed LB. Still,

still, I didn’t feel LB had a chance. Like a PP said, they don’t have depth and relied too much on two players. On Madison, the goals were coming from everywhere.

Coming from everywhere? #12 put up six of the ten.

100% Coaching is so important if you get past Memorial Day. LB doesn’t have that. Some really good kids just played their last game.

I'll rephrase: Shots were coming from everywhere. A broader number of Madison players took shots than LB.

Ahhh, yes, for sure.

I have no dog in any of these teams and went to a bunch of games but the best team top to bottom I’ve seen play all year was Yorktown. Against Robinson they just were flat and Robinson had the perfect game plan. Would have loved to see a Madison v Yorktown rematch as both fought together in two different games this year with each winning one. Stepping back, All of these 5 or 6 teams teams which are very good have some issues with chippiness of fans and coaches which is a larger issue and the reffing has gotten so inconsistent bc frankly many refs don’t want to deal with the behavior they see from a lot of these teams. I sat on Robinson sidelines and the comments coming from the students in stands to the Yorktown kids was just heinous. But in the semis my guess is that I don’t see Robinson keeping up with a very good Madison team with a tough and determinative FOGO which will basically determine the state champ. Good luck to these teams and keep it clean and sportsmanlike!
