Why are people more sympathetic to Lindsay Clancy than Andrea Yates? (Child death mentioned)

It's not a fad. You're noticing it for the first time. Pre covid, there were mothers

Does a new inexperienced mother need 3 babies under 3 and 3 dogs? And have to walk all of them constantly around the neighborhood? Why do this to yourself? It’s so attention seeking.

It’s attention seeking to take care of your dog while minding your children? What drugs are you smoking because I’d love to have some.

People make irresponsible stupid decisions and then expect sympathy if they feel overwhelmed and depressed. Maybe stop having kids and getting more pets, stop living above your measly income. These people can barely care for themselves. It’s attention seeking or some type of pathology to continually hoard babies and animals. Something is not right upstairs.

This lady is exactly like Casey Anthony-a narcissist who lies and manipulates gullible people into believing her and will get off scot free. She’s happy to be rid of her children and after she successfully handles this trial, she will live her life the way she intended to the moment after she murdered those kids.

It boggles the mind that people still fall for this crap and attack decent folks who see through the BS.

+1 I’m honestly seeing the same posting patterns with people here as the unhinged MM and HB posters. People having BABIES and TODDLERS and DOGS!!!!!11 is suddenly “attention seeking?” GTFO.

Watching the arraignment now.

The first thing she said once she was lucid (they gave her a white board, as she was intubated) was to ask if she needed an attorney. Nothing about the kids.

The state ain't messing around.

It seems like it’s a millennial thing, millennial families now have multiple animals, not just one family pet, this is in addition to multiple kids. No wonder so many people are on antidepressants! maybe if you cut it down a little, like one dog rather than 3 or 2 kids maximum, you may be less stressed. I don’t know, the more responsibilities ones has the more anxious and stressed one generally becomes. Growing up I don’t remember anyone having three dogs and then a few cats thrown in. This seems like the norm now. Like I would go completely insane with this many pets and people living in my house. Again, you must have your multiple pet and baby photos for social media, take a few selfies while you are fumbling around the neighborhood walking all of them.

She strangled those babies with exercise bands in the basement. I hope she rots wherever they send her.

Court rules she be maintained in a hospital or rehabilitation setting as she is not a flight risk and does not meet the criteria for hold without bail in a jail setting. Court rules she have a mental health evaluation. The judge seems like a good egg so hopefully he will keep this case on track as an example of our system working properly.

Wow just watched the video of her arraignment. The State makes a compelling case. She was completely lucid and communicating normally with her husband, her pediatrician and everyone at the office, the pharmacist at CVS, the hostess at the takeout restaurant, etc. She also google-mapped how long it would take to drive to get the takeout (father than they normally went for takeout) right before asking her husband to go to this speciific restaurant.

When she came to in the hospital, the first thing she wrote on the whiteboard (she was intubated at that point) was "do I need a lawyer?"

Looks pretty bad for her.

Yup. I hope she’s charged on all counts. So sick of the postpartum psychosis BS being commented non stop.

As a PP has pointed out, none of this is at odds with psychosis or necessarily with whatever kind of insanity defense is available in Mass.

For now. The defense stated they would update the court if her status changes.

Did I miss the defense mentioning PPP diagnosis?

How convenient. She was fine until she decided to murder them and then was immediately fine right after. Very very convenient.
