DP. Because the polls (pollsters) say the opposite.

As much as you, the Biden’s, Obama, Abrams, Harris, and random Dems try to make this election about Trump, it is about McAuliffe and Youngkin and what people in Virginia want.

Stop by a Virginia coffee shop today, and the only people talking about Trump will be the pink pussy cat hat boomers too old to evolve politically.

This. I can’t stand Trump (who is NOT ON THE BALLOT), but I’ll tell you what I can’t stand more: needing to waste money on private school because the navel gazing equity morons in charge can’t get out of their own way. Bye!!

Nothing wrong with bringing more equity into the schools. Were you always a racist or is this new behavior?

DP.
Equity? Nope.
Equality? Sure.

Equity: fairness or justice in the way people are treated

DP. You’re opposed to notions of fairness and justice in schools? You’re really letting the racist flag fly here.

I was very tempted to vote Youngkin because I haven't been happy about how covid has been handled with the schools, but the book banning and hostility towards teaching accurate US history led me to reluctantly vote for McAuliffe. The recent story in the NYT about republicans demanding a book with an interracial couple get pulled from the library was the last straw.

Equity is not the opposite of excellence. You have a very warped and bigoted worldview.

Hopefully your children are exposed to better influences elsewhere.

POLL

Q: "How much influence do you think parents of K-12 students should have over what schools teach?"

A: "Most or some":
Asian: 70%
Black: 67%
Hispanic: 67%
White: 75%
Suburban Women: 69%

A: "Not really":
Asian: 21%
Black: 22%
Hispanic: 27%
White: 19%
Suburban Women: 20%

Gee, that’s totally not a leading-question, is it?

Garbage poll. Worthless.

Actually, this poll is explaining the state of Virginia right now. Education is the #1 issue for most of the electorate.

+1
The PP is seriously triggered because the poll doesn't say what she wants it to say. If it did, she'd call it 100% accurate.

PP made a valid point that this was a leading question. Are you you debating that?

It's a very straightforward question. How would you have worded it?

“Do you support parents walking into school libraries and yanking books”?

THAT was the context.

No, it’s the #1 issue for racists and fascists.

The rest of Virginia cares about REAL issues: climate change, equal rights for all genders, women’s health, immigrant rights, ending the culture of police violence, getting rid of guns, and righting all the wrongs of the past brought to us by white men like Youngkin.

I’d say education is very much a women’s issue. Closing schools unnecessarily cost many women their jobs and untold others their sanity.

The pandemic was detrimental to many, especially women.

That doesn’t mean you vote for the anti-woman candidate. WTAF?

DP. "Anti-woman candidate"? You're going to have to provide actual links for that absurd claim, doofus.

“The American Independent” is the left-wing group that posted the video. What a laugh, using “independent” in their name, hoping to fool people into thinking they’re actually independent. Here’s what Media Bias/FactCheck has to say:

LEFT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy.

Are you denying that this is Youngkin?

Youngkin hasn’t denied it, nor has he denied that it accurately represents his views on abortion.

Youngkin is strongly anti-abortion. If he is elected and if SCOTUS overturns Roe, which is looking increasingly likely), abortion will be banned in Virginia.

If this were the definition used by liberals, I could go for that. But, it's not.
This better describes equity as the liberals use it:

While the terms equity and equality may sound similar, the implementation of one versus the other can lead to dramatically different outcomes for marginalized people.

Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.

https://onlinepublichealth.gwu.edu/resources/equity-vs-equality/

Working for "equal outcomes" is just a ridiculous notion. There will NEVER be equal outcomes because some people simply work harder and persevere to accomplish their goals. And, some people, given the resources and opportunities they need squander them or don't take full advantage of what they have been given.

And, if you think women should have bodily autonomy when it comes to abortion, I am certain you believe EVERYONE - men and women - should be given bodily autonomy when it comes to vaccines. Right?
