BRYC talk

That's what BRYC does currently, and it sucks. Totally chock full of politics and arbitrary coaching decisions. Have fun if you sign up for that!

Folks already did sign up for it which is why the announcement will not be made until later this summer.

You clearly don't understand what "Academy Style" is. Players will be a pool and rostered week to week based on performance in practice. Practice well or play well and you'll be rostered on ECNL.

Way Too many FT ECNL and GA rostered players to do that now. IIRC any DP PT that play more than a certain number of games need to become FT, or am i mistaken. I like a good trolling but at least make it plausible.

Then whatever contract these poor folks signed should become null and void. Talk about a bait and switch!

It isn't to many. "Dual Rostered" BRYC players are out of the equation and only FT GA and ECNL players are a part of the academy pool.

Certainly ECNL rosters will lean heavily FCV in the older age groups but BRYC ECNL participation will be larger at the younger age groups, i.e. 09 and 08.

If you signed on accepting a "Academy" spot the offer is still true.

Would be a big positive for both sides if true. FCV needs to move closer if they're going to have a sponsor and indoor training and BRYC needs something to shake them up and get some momentum. Anything that would have combines TSJ sponsorship and location with BRYC and some combo of SYC/LMVSC/VIVA/BAC/SCAA would be a welcomed collapsing at all levels of the programs.

What would any of those clubs listed bring to the table? SYC already partnered with McLean anyways.

I didn't mean to imply it would happen, although partnerships are broken all the time in this area, see Arlington/Mclean or Loudoun/FCV as recent examples. Only that increasing the player pool in general would more evenly distribute skill levels across a broader section of teams, resulting in those teams being more likely able to plan to play in leagues that are competitive. A greater number of teams for all of them across age groups creates a better ability for them to find the right level to play at and not have gaps where if 3 players on the top (or bottom) of a roster don't show up, the results are vastly different. It would allow for coaches to more effectively plan and conduct practices with similar skill levels, leading to better development and time with the kids.

These "mergers" are always better on paper than they are in real life.....

This one makes sense. Two clubs with major issues.

Evergreen was purchased by another club so FCV is going to be a club with no place to practice. This makes sense to merge and move practices to Robinson.

Who purchased Evergreen?

Lol. Nice try. A club doesn’t own Evergreen. It’s a sports complex that rents fields owned by investors.
