As a parent on the team who finds this entire thread hilarious, and still doesn’t give a crap. Wry few teams will stay together forever. |
Uhhhh….you just brought back a thread that hasn’t been commented on in a month and put to the top of the page. Congrats 07 dad who doesn’t care. |
Love it... Name and shame the dad

Yeah. I'm calling BS on this one. Make up a better story. |
| Coach of Loudoun 2007 G ECNL team is top notch. We know the girls who left Loudoun forFCV personally. None of them have anything but positive things to say about Phil. These girls wanted the FCV path of intense college visibility. Phil has been very kind and supportive. Very nice guy and strong coach. He is bringing on a number of new players. They seem strong especially two players from Arlington. One girl we have been watching for years and she is a powerhouse. Arlington must not have treated families well to lose that family. |
It will be interesting to see how this all works out. Loudoun and Arlington are separated by some distance. Neither club is particularly known for college placements. Hopefully Loudoun will be able to hold together a decent 07 team into the recruiting years (and not lose their ECNL club status). |

Loudoun does far better than Arlington when it comes to college placements. No competition.
This is a Loudoun parent. My DD is on the 2007 team. It is a strong team and the two new Arlington additions look great. Very solid players. Made us all wonder what Arlington did to lose them. Next year will be a good year. |
| So why is Loudoun not better at college placements? Is it that more of the players the end up there simply don’t want to play college ball (or rather it is a secondary priority to going to the school they want) or is it more lack of effort / connections on the coach/club side? Or a bit of both? |
Echoing this comment! I don’t know much about the other Arlington girl, but one of them we have been watching since she was in third grade. She was always making the plays and scoring goals that were beyond her age. Every time we played Arlington, she was the stand out. On top of that, my daughter knows her and she is a dynamite kid. We welcome our new players to 2007 Loudoun. Do not listen to any of the negative talk. You are joining a great team with a great coach. |
Because all the best players went to McLean and FCV for ECNL….and Loudoun acts more like a family run business. Still haven’t seen a juggernaut to come run their girls program. They need one ASAP. At least FCV is smart enough to know that their league sucks but still fight to get their kids recruited which is the only way their surviving. Loudoun has everything but scanners it. They want to be a little girl club when they better learn to be a big girl club. |
| Notice how the Loudoun parents do not say much negative about FCV? I would much rather my child be in Loudoun’s positive environment. Have you looked at the qualifications of the new Loudoun coach? Hard to say that he is not strong. Most importantly the 2007 Loudoun girls are happy on their team. The few that left did not leave because of the coach or team. They were lured by FCV’s promises related to college looks. We are happy for them. |
I heard they were lured away by a 07 parent doing FCVs bidding. And it’s not the person that’s been mentioned. |
This time I don’t think it’s the dad mentioned above or the one we suspect. I heard it is the dad of the 07 player who also guest plays with the 06 team. He is trying to surround his daughter with more talent and has been working hard at doing such. |

FCV Loudoun and McLean 07 teams are all pretty strong. At other ages Loudoun not even close to being competitive with FCV Bethesda or McLean |
