Loudoun 07G ECNL - what’s happening?

Question is begged: now that the beacon and only reason for Loudoun to claim any bragging rights is being dismantled what will they resort to in order to do damage control and avoid a mass migration out of the club? I’m genuinely curious. Asking for a mom.

How do you know which girls are leaving? I know for a fact that it's not 5 girls leaving.

I know for a fact at least 3 are joining FCV. Others want in but the bus is full.

Didn't Loudoun beat FCV? Why would they want to move down to a weaker team?

Fact is X amount of girls are leaving 07 FCV and 2008 girls will be playing their age vs Loudoun is losing 3 girls not 5. Both clubs are hurting you can try to put the spot light on Loudoun all you want but its clear your worried about your DD future as I am. FCV not being in ECNL is hurting with player leaving on all ages especially 08 and 07. Good luck to both these clubs we will try Loudoun one more year and try other avenues if this continues.

Such FCV propaganda. It’s actually the FCV girls that are leaving for Loudoun. Gotta keep the fake BS machine running when ECNL offers are out to prevent the mass exodus from FCV.

I’d guess it is a combination of certain parents being unhappy with coaching decisions and the fact that most of these girls are now rising freshmen and so the idea of getting more college coach exposure starts to take on new importance. Not that Loudoun doesn’t have players that go on to play in college but FCV certainly promotes that very heavily on social media and that gets the attention of a lot of these parents.

Because Loudoun never had older teams to promote in the past…all the players left for ECNL or DA…Funny that the 07 team could have been their first.

I am a parent with close ties to both teams but we play for a Maryland Club.

Obviously I cannot name names but it is in fact three players moving from Loudoun to FCV. It is also pretty much the top 3 Loudoun players.

Let me be clear about this. The players leaving Loudoun did not have any gripes with parents, coaches, or players. It is well understood FCV provides a much better path to better Colleges for girls of this talent level. That is the only reason. None of these girls are expecting to be invited to YNT. Just for a college advantage, that's it.

If any of you want to argue that Loudoun provides a better college opportunity even though they are in the ECNL than FC Virginia, you are 100% delusional.

The FCV 07 team is losing one, maybe 2 bench players. It is possible the 08s playing up get moved back on age after all of the new additions.

It should also be said the best player from the BRYC 07 team is also moving to FCV for this reason.

I'll also be the first to tell you ECNL is the much better league and whether or not FCV can continue to hold on to top notch players after the 07 year is a huge question.

Take it for what it's worth as I am just outside both boxes looking in.

Why would you think Bethesda? I was thinking Frederick, since they are much closer to Loudoun.
