How will anti-vaxxers lives be limited?

We can flip that around. All of the vaccinated when encountering the seasonal Covid virus in the fall will die because of cytokine storms.

See how mean-spirited and twisted that sounds? Some truly sick people on this board even if they are vaccinated they are not immune from criticism of their (vile) attempts at persuasion.

Is there anyone vaccinated who died of cytokine storm? Stronger side effects, yes, but not a cytokine storm. The mechanism isn't really there for it, from a medical perspective.

It sounds more like an anti-vax fantasy, to be honest. Stick it to 'em, and all that.

I really don't think it's being mean spirited. Just a sad reality. If you remain unvaccinated, you will get infected. You can't dodge it forever unless you truly live in a plastic bubble.

This. Eventually it will become evident that the only folks getting hospitalized and dying will be the unvaccinated.

That is the ultimate limiting event.

Aren’t most colleges now requiring vaccinations before fall?

No. Some have stated that, but definitely not “most.”

Also, sometimes you will see a misleading headline. For example, I saw an article a few days ago saying the UCs and Cal States would be requiring it. That was the headline, but when I read the actual article it stated it would not be required until the vaccine was fully approved (since right now it’s just under emergency approval.)

So you are rooting for the death of 70% of the country. Nice. The tolerance and love of your fellow human beings is really coming through. Thanks but no thanks. I'll take my chances with the virus.

Lots of people tried that. Millions are dead from it.

Vaccines have caused deadly reactions in a very small amount of cases.

People like you will have to learn the hard way.

Almost 50 percent of the country already has one dose of the vaccine. I think we will get close to 70 percent.

You are aiding and abetting the enemy, the virus. The virus will use every unvaccinated person to get more virulent and deadly.

We are at war.

I can't figure out how to link to it on my phone, but Forbes has a story out today that workers are starting to be fired across the country for vaccination refusal, including nurses.

The general consensus among lawyers is you can be fired from vaccine refusal.

It's not rooting for that to occur. It's just recognizing what will occur. Those are very different things.

Lol, we are not war. Calm down sparky...

And there will just be a new group of colleges created for conservatives that don't want the government to be able to force them to inject things into their bodies.

And those colleges might just choose to exclude other groups like ADHD, autism, behavioral disorders based on medical histories.

I don't think the country wants to head in this direction.

This already exists. Patrick Henry and its friends.

Some will die. And because it’s human behavior they’ll probably still say they did the right thing while they’re gasping for breath.

Oh you should submit that to a publisher, maybe you'll get a book deal. If people avoided covid while it was blowing up and there were no vaccines, it goes to reason that, if they continue good practices (masks, etc), chances are they'll make it through.

Well, shoot, who wants to do that? Wear a mask everywhere? Keep your kids home from school? No indoor sports? No airline travel? No public transportation? Nobody in your home? No dinners with friends? No weddings? No funerals? No restaurants? I don’t know what you’ve been doing, but that’s what I did to avoid Covid. Without vaccines, you do all that...forever...and the. still end up with Covid.

And mocking me with the book deal thing? What’s that about. It was just a comment.

You guys should all just say “Thanks” to the rest of us for taking it for the team. You know, since we’re poisoning ourselves for your benefit and all.

The book deal quip was a compliment. You have a great imagination, you are persuasive, and you are skilled in hyperbole. You could write a dystopian novel or an adventure. I mean it. Also, I didn't hide in my basement to avoid covid. I took common sense measures while going about my day to day life.

Serious question. How long do you plan on continuing to take "common sense measures"? The virus isn't going away. It won't even go away if 80 percent of the population gets vaccinated. Unless you're willing to stay masked up and socially distanced for years, (which seems like a goofy choice to make), you'll eventually get infected. Maybe you'll live. Maybe not. But you'll definitely get it.

I'm an introverted misanthrope in a town full of people falling all over themselves to get vaccinated and to enter their infants in vaccine trials. My risk falls every day. I think I'm gonna make it!

I'm 50+ and received all the usual vaccinations required to go to public school, and DS 30+ had all the same plus new ones required for school and recorded in a little yellow booklet (wonder where that is now??). DH received all kinds of extra vaccinations while in the military. Most Americans are like us and have received vaccines recommended and required by government. Why is there such resistance to the COVID vaccine? Is it because of the emergency use authorization?

I wish we could ship you off to somewhere where they’re not able to vaccinate so you can get the full benefits of your sacrifice.
