Yes, I do. They don’t like anything that looks privileged.

I am not sure that this is true. It was considered the gold standard until last year. I think they are just under-emphasizing all scores and simply not looking at WISC. Fwiw, last year my kid had a 135 CoGat and was rejected, 135 WISC on appeal and rejected again.

This was 3 years ago but my child was rejected with a 138 WISC on the original application (CogAT and NNAT were average). We appealed with a recommendation letter and he got in. So dumb. He's black, BTW. Been in AAP since 3rd due to appeal. He is now in 5th grade AAP. His sister (also black) got in with a 135 WISC 2 years earlier on the first try. She had worse CogAT and NNAT scores. We had the WISC because she was evaluated for ADHD so we just threw it in.

SAme WISC for my kid. White. Didn’t get in.

Does this form needs to filled up again? If yes, are we supposed to fill up new information about our DC?

The Appeals Form indicates that you should include the Questionnaire if you didn't submit one before. I think they'd accept a second though, if you wanted to add it.

You can also ask their teacher.

We put our appeal packet in the mail on Friday. It was finished and there was no reason to wait for the last day.

Are appeal decisions all sent out on June 4 or are they sent on a rolling basis?

I think it’s one day only. I’m hoping it will be email again.

Does anyone know if you can provide another report card? There have been two quarters since we applied. Would that be considered or is it a waste of time?

My DS got second is school spelling bee and won a few local chess K-3 competitions. Can I include that during appeal?

This year due to COVID there are not may work samples we got from school.

DS took the WISC but the results are not out until May 24. The psychologist mentioned that we can submit the WISC receipt, stating that the WISC results will be sent soon via email.

We did full virtual this time and there are not many work samples.

Same question here. Does chess count?

You guys, none of this even matters because the school board is going to destroy any and all differentiation in the name of equity. We need to come together and vote in November for the candidates who are FOR meritocracy and AGAINST equity. Make no mistake, equity means equal outcomes (the bedrock of socialism), and equality means equal opportunity (this is what has made America the gold std of the World). If we don't vote away this dangerous ideology, we can say goodbye to America as we know it.
