It was considered the gold standard until last year. I think they are just under-emphasizing all scores and simply not looking at WISC. Fwiw, last year my kid had a 135 CoGat and was rejected, 135 WISC on appeal and rejected again. [/quote] This was 3 years ago but my child was rejected with a 138 WISC on the original application (CogAT and NNAT were average). We appealed with a recommendation letter and he got in. So dumb. He's black, BTW. Been in AAP since 3rd due to appeal. He is now in 5th grade AAP. His sister (also black) got in with a 135 WISC 2 years earlier on the first try. She had worse CogAT and NNAT scores.
