Why? PP specifically stated: "Even to these so-called superior ECNL teams in scrimmages." But FCV is sitting in 3rd place currently in the GA MA standings, so there is that.

You people are nuts. FCV has a center d and striker who have a chance. Bethesda 07 have 1 girl who may have the talent to play high level d1. But she is tiny. Mclean has maybe 2. They both play centermid (depends on the positioning) and are getting worse rather than better. Loundon has a really strong wing. The rest of you are parents living through your kids. Look, my kid is on one of these teams. She is solid. She is not high level college. Loonies.

When your team is King at this age group in the top league in the nation, haters gonna hate. Keep it coming. Lol

It’s funny, but none of this matters really. In a few years the teams will look different. Some kids will lose interest, others will gain more. Some will get more athletic, some won’t. Some will have chronic injuries, others won’t. Some will move away, others will move in. Focus on your own kid and getting them the best coaching and competition they can get, if they are really into it, and don’t worry about which team is the best.

At this age your team hasn’t even left it’s own little bubble. You are King of the County and that’s all.

Starting XI: I am playing a 3-5-2 because it allows me to cheat and get the good MFs on the team

Forwards: FCV forward and BSC 07 who plays up on their 06 team

Midfielders: Loudoun wing, Metro 07 who plays up, McLean’s two midfielders, MDU midfielder who played up on their 06 team last year

Defenders: FCV girl, McLean tall CB, MDU CB

GK: Baltimore Armour girl

Obviously a Metro parent, because no Metro players make the team

I had no idea we had so many people who've scouted U-14 soccer in the area who have no basis for comparison to other areas. Why are people doing this?

There are many other factors that favor some teams vs others. Individually a team winning less can have more individual talent. This means a club unfortunately is focused on producing 2-3 good players because all they care for is winning so they can expand their name, while another club is more focused on producing more good players because the club’s name and record is already well positioned.

That’s what Wayne Gretzky’s dad told him when his team lost to the team across town every single year.

He said “none of those kids will amount to anything.”

He was correct. Developing on teams like that is often detrimental, don’t take risks, aren’t given leeway to take chances, focus on “team” over what’s right for individuals, etc.

The 07 who plays up on the 05’s at Metro is definitely on the list.

That is the problem when folks like you come up with these lists and think it is some form of grade of your kid.

There are lots of kids in your age group you have never even seen because they may play up, play on boys teams etc. Just because you don’t cross paths with them doesn’t mean they aren’t out there.

BRYC also has an 07 on their 06 team and she is also deserving of being on an 07 all stars roster.

If 2 FCV girls make the u14 All Star list the rest of the team must be a complete disaster. Didn’t they tie Metro last fall? SMH. The most glorified losing team on the DCUM board. Wonder why.
